I'm interested in playing tonight, but would like to make sure that the $200 added shows up in the tournament lobby prior to the tournament starting. As of now, no money has been added to the tournament. A simple phone call or e-mail to AP's support should resolve that problem.

I only mention it because this has happened before, and money that was supposed to be added was not. I realize that if it occurs in this tournament as well, I'm sure AP will credit each of the players who cash with the money they're supposed to receive (taking into effect the money added). However, notifying them now can clear this up, and make it all the easier for everyone to receive what they're supposed to.

Any new updates on this? I still see no money added to this tournament, yet no one has responded to my post about whether or not you've contacted AP about this?

    Good luck with that LOL!

I guess I'll have to pass on tonight's tournament then. As much as I'd like to play, I'll avoid the "red tape" of having to contact AP support afterwards to go about getting the added money credited to my account. Trust me when I say you'll wish you'd dealt with this problem beforehand versus waiting until after the tournament's over (when all the pm's and complaints will come rolling in about $200 missing from the prize pool).

No offense, but you have to love how ONLY NOW does anyone take the initiative and try to resolve the problem I brought up 7-8 hours before the tournament was scheduled to start.

Don't get me wrong. I don't blame FTR for the money not being added. I blame AP, and it's something that has happened before, and will definitely happen again. However, having said that, I do blame FTR for not addressing the issue with AP well in advance of the start of the tournament as they should have.

I pointed this "oversight" out for a reason, and it's crazy to me how FTR didn't do it's part to fix this problem at least 3-4 hours before the tournament started. Had they done so, I'd have definitely played, as would a lot more of our members I imagine.

It may not seem like that big of a deal to some of you, but If you've ever been burned on money-added tournaments at AP like I have, you avoid them like the plague if the money isn't 100% guaranteed to be added as advertised. The only way to know it's 100% guaranteed to be added is by going to the tournament's lobby and clicking "Tournament info". If it lists the amount of money added, you're good to go. If, however, it's like this tournament and nothing is listed, then you can be sure that zero money will be added to the pot.

Past history Absolute does not have anybody who can or will do anything Thursday - Sunday so I have no idea how it could be corrected. Support has not improved as promised it actually seems to be deteriorating again.

Eric thanks for the help and good luck with Diego.

How deep should the event be paid out?

If history has anything to do with it, the money should either be added over 9 or 18 spots. It's safe to guess that the top 9 finishers will be paid simply because of the money added, but you never know?

The money added tournaments usually payout the same number of people, but just have larger prizes.

Are you sure about that? I've played numerous tournaments where $25 was added, and the top 5 paid even though only 10-13 people entered. The $25 was added over the top 5, and if not for the money added, only the top 3 finishers would have cashed.

The same applies to tournaments with $50 or $100 added. Instead of only the top 5 cashing (with 20-25 entries), the top 9 finishers cashed due to the $50 or $100 being spread over those top 9.

I'm sure it varies room to room, but that's the way it was done on Full Tilt and Bodog.

I did hear back from Absolute today and they advised me to contact to forum to get this matter fixed.

Payout depth and distribution has always been determined by the forum on Absolute for the incremental dollars.

If any of you who have authority for this forum need to see the email please drop me an email.

after 5 days I see only +45$ at my absolutepoker balance... No money add

If nothing happens tomorrow check back next week as AP support will be back on siesta. The true irony is that they used to be top drawer 24 7.

We have sent many e-mails and have been on contact with their support. Here is the last response we received:

    Tourney Department…

Please pay out an extra $200 money added prize top 9 places paid on last nights “FTR200 tourney”. Please let me know when this is done.

    Regards!
We have not heard anything back yet, but the request was put in by a manager at Absolute. It should process soon.

    thanks for the update

for your edification no dollars have hit my account yet
please advise when you think they have actually executed

i know this is a giant pain in the behind and i have no clue why they have let things deteriorate as far as customer support

thanks for putting on an excellent tournament

    Default Absolute and Vegas

I encountered a similar payout issued on Vegas which uses the Absolute servers. The big difference is customer support. Vegas fixed the issue within 48 hours(might have been under 24 hours from when I wrote them).

I presume that you have some juice with AP.

Why is this slow and when will they take some action to improve their customer service?

Default AP tournamnet payout made by AP

Thanks for getting the money added.

Have you eliminated the monthly tournaments that you have customarily held the 20th of the month?
