Short Stack...

Um okay… so it’s a 9 handed game, ‘cept 4 people have been KO’ed and the blinds are 100/200. I haven’t been doing too good and I’ve got 1500 chips. I’m in early position with 88 and I go all in. Is this the right play?

I didn’t want to call and let someone with say A6 catch on me and I didn’t see the point of raising. I’d have probably been pot committed anyway… So I went all in thinking I had two shots. One – I could win it right there and then or Two – I’d get called by maybe two overcards and win the hand anyway. I got called by KJ and lost.

I think I made the right play…

Also I was wondering if bad days really exist. Y’know when you can’t catch the cards etc… Unless I lose coz of a bad beat I always blame myself and look for problems that might not be there.
