Default literally crying and laughing with relief

Quick background....have been at uni for the last 13 years doing a combined degree, Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Commerce and graduated my science degree in 2005.

After last year I had one second year unit left to graduate my commerce degree, I had failed it last year while killing the third year equivalent (unit is Risk Management, ie hedging, futures, forwards, options, etc) and it was the only unit left for my major...if I failed it a second time I wouldn't be able to do it again and would have to restart a new major (6 units).

The unit was only available in second semester so I have had to wait all year to do it, exam was at the start of November...I walked out of it 99% certain I had failed, I had just butchered it so badly.

Exam results were posted this morning when I got into work and checked....soon as I saw the P and a mark of 52% I started laughing my ass off, then it hit me I would be graduating in a month and my parents would finally be able to attend (they missed the first one due to dad being in hospital with cancer) and that just broke me up....kind of sad really to think something like that can still affect me at the age of 37 but god-damn if I am not the happiest I've been in a long time right now and just felt like sharing to a bunch of people that don't know me and likely won't care

    Cliff Notes:
Finally graduated my second degree after 13 years by squeaking a 52% in final after thinking I butchered it.

I don't understand all the details of your strange university system, but congratulations nonetheless. I'm sure you feel awesome right now. Go get hammered!

Actually...doctors don't even go that long.

Nope, actually went to the Australian National University, essentially our version of harvard or yale....I just live in a country that realises when you get at least 1/2 the questions right you have not failed the exam

Yep, 13 years is a bit but given I work fulltime and the 2 degrees are each ~6 years parttime study it's fairly reasonable

To those non-tools in the thread, thanks for the words...just a massive relief to finally be done with it all.

If I could pass shit with a 50% I'd have like 30 degrees by now.
