Where to begin? I have played NLHE for approx 4 years casually now. I have deposited a few times and withdrawn a few times and have no idea if I have won or lost money over this time. I played cash, SnG's and MTT's and enjoyed each of them. Until recently I have not really studied the game seriously but have now read a few books and gained some good insights from browsing FTR.

Recently I deposited into PKR to give their software a try. My $100 deposit turned into $1,500. I won a $2,000 guaranteed MTT for $600 as well as a cash in the $10,000 guaranteed. The remainder of the winnings came from $50NL 6-max and a couple of massive hands won on $100NL full ring. I of course realise now that I was under rolled for that and was extremely fortunate not to lose a big chunk of $$$.

It was at this stage I started to think about my play more and future strategies. First was to start clearing more bonuses and signing up for rakeback. So I deposited into Absolute Poker to start earning rakeback and clearing their bonus. I started playing $50NL 6Max and started well but ended up -$500 which was actually -$600 in real terms as I had cleared $100 of the $500 bonus. I probably was not the player I thought I was. Where/how was I losing money? No idea apart from some bad plays. So I made four decisions;

1. Purchase Poker Tracker.
2. Move to full ring to make hand selection/decision making easier.
3. Consolidate current poker accounts and decide starting bankroll.
4. Give myself a target.

The target I have set is a new car and Operation Wheels is born. It is going to be a grind and first of all I need to become a winning player at $50NL. My bankroll will start at $2,000. I hope I can succeed. I am looking forward to updating this thread and hopefully some FTR members can impart some pearls of wisdom/give me a flaming along the way.
