    Default What's our plan...50nl HU

I don't have PAHUD running on my new comp but villain was tight. Weirdly tight too. I'd say he was opening 30% OTB (never limping) and 3betting my button opens much more than I'd expect from someone opening so tight in position. I had been 3betting him more and more as the match went on.

His cbet % was 100% w/o even looking at stats, and it was always $2 into $3. What's the best plan here HU? Is this even interesting, or just a zzzzzz c/r and play for stacks?

    PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (2 handed) Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    Hero ($58.75)
    Button ($45.50)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 7, A.
Button raises to $1.5, Hero calls $1.

    Flop: ($3) A, J, A (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $2, Hero....?

This is actually a really interesting isutation IMO, and one where it's going to be a bastard to get monies out of him.

Had you been c/ring many of his cbets?

oops, forgot to mention that, It was 50/50 between c/r'ing and c/f'ing. I had c/c'ed once. He folded to every single c/r btw.

Anyone reckon it's possible to play anything bigger than a small-medium pot with this? I can't see how personally..

Tough playa wannabe who is actually scared little nit when pots become medium+ (my experience).

I'd go for a standard c/r here - $6 or $7. If he doesn't have it this is the last money he'll put in this pot anyways. On the other side there are too many draws that he might hit with lot of money behind. Not much value you can extract here. Protect your hand.

Wow if he's opening 30% i fold pre.

Building a pot OOP here on this board is probably bad. We're going to have a horrible idea of what his hand is by raising.

Yeah, forgot to mention that - fold pre is the best play (too late now )

True, but what are the alternatives? Calling with that drawy board is praying for brick turn and then let's play another guessing game, only this time our hand is face up. Folding sucks obv.

I think not (I still stick to my 'read' on him being a nit in medium+ sized pots). If he doesn't fold I'm done w/o further reads.

I called pre to c/r just about any flop really, I'd usually 3bet, him opening 30% and being straightforward postflop makes me want to play hands with him.

say we c/r to $6 and he makes it $15, what do we do?

say we c/r to $6 and he calls and the turn blanks, what do we do?

say we c/r to $6 and he calls and the turn brings a club?

say we flat the flop, what's the best plan for the turn?

Why do we want to c/r? C/r is probably the worst move. The issue with c/r is its really hard to figure out what to do, so why even bother discussing it. It's marginal, flip a coin.

Ok, both you and Sauce agree with call. Turn is a lead then, right? And assuming he calls, what's our river plan?

pot will be like $17, so b/f 12 seems decent right (assuming I haven't filled up)
