Default Da GOATs $1000NL Push Operation

GO GO GO GO GO GO GO GO GO GO GO GO GO GO GO GO GO GO GO GO

2008 is the year Im pushing for $1000NL!!!

Right now im at $50NL with $2400. I need to increase my BR 10x.

Realisticaly I wont acheive the goal within one year but its feasible for me the get most the way in 2008

    Phase 1 - $200NL at $5K bankroll
    Phase 2 - $400NL at $10K BR
    Phase 3 - $600NL at $15K BR
    Phase 4 - $1000NL at $25K BR

As of now i beleive I can beat $200NL but Ive got to rebuild my BR to a sufficient level, I may take shots at 20xBuyin but reduce tables when taking shots.

    Wish me luck!!!!

GL GOAT! Seems like you have the ablility and drive to do this, but you may want to have more than 25 buyins for 600nl/1knl with how aggro and swingy those games play.
eeevees are not monies yet...they are like baby monies.

Yes, I agree with the above. Bankroll Management may become an issue unless you are very good at taking shots and moving back down. 25BI's doesn't allow for much variance before having to move back down.
Playing live . . . thanks alot Bin Laden.

Thx for the good wishes folks!!

BR Mgt whats that?? What i wrote is just a simple guide, I understand its implications and we adjust accordingly as I move up based on my experiences at that time.

    Taxi,

I think i can get 10K hands in a month. Its really not that much but im ditching computer games and stuff. Ive got about 5K hands done so far this month but im gonna try squeeze in more hands each month.

Right now we're at the same stage, except that this is as high as I've played to date!
I look forward to watching this unfold - why the desire to play such high stakes?
My goals involve playing a load of tables at 100nl up to about br = $10k, and if I get that far I'll hit 200nl. Then again, I've only been playing a short(ish) time.
Anyway, best of luck, hope you get there and pwn!!!

A real nice start to my push. +$145+$20 bonus at 6.43bb/100 over 834 hands.

Had between 1-2 100NL tables open with 1-2 50NL tables, overall player quality was bad so i selected across the 2 buyins.

    Some hands:-

#1 - Just a beat so moving on. I actually smiled when he hit it which makes me think im not tilting tooo easily. Opp had AA.

Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (6 handed) Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    BB ($72.30)
    UTG ($52.25)
    MP ($60.10)
    CO ($15.25)

Preflop: MantaForce is SB with J, J.
3 folds, Button raises to $1.75, MantaForce raises to $6.5, 1 fold, Button calls $4.50.

    Final Pot: $99.75

#2 - Hmm squeeze play. Opp on button was an aggro but id say easily a winner at these stakes and SB was a 55/6 fish. I thought it was a great spot to squeeze. Hows my line etc? Opp was an uber station.

    Turn: ($88.50) (2 players)
    SB checks, MantaForce checks.

    River: ($88.50) (2 players)
SB bets $80.9 (All-In), MantaForce folds.

    Final Pot: $7.59

#3 - Opp was the good player i mentioned above. runs about 23/20, i checked raises a widish range for UTG tho not crazy wide. I opted not to call and instead 3bet, i had been very quiet overall at this table as Ive been getting no cards (which was super annoyin coz i had great position against the fish). I think 3betting was better since i wanted postflop to be easier vs opp.

Postflop I figured I had good equity to call with FD and at least one overcard incase he has TT-QQ. the only hands im a dog vs are AA,KK,AK. AKs is unlikely as is AKo no draw (plsu i got a Q card to hit). What you guys think???

Thanks man I appreciate any comments in this thread to keep me thinking so any questions is cool.

Why do I want to play? Well Im enjoying winning at poker and I dont nessecarily *need* the money, now Ive finished my exams and my training contract is up in March 2009 so Ill be on a very good salary from then. So I would like to play as high as I can for myself, I think if I make it to 1000nl or more then theres a sense of accomplishment acheived. I want be be a really good player more so and thats where really good players are ''High Stakes''

i discussed this hand with Halvsame and I now agree with him Ive pciked a terrible hand to squeeze with. Main reason is that SB is such an uber station that i should primarily at least have bigger cards like J9s etc. bcoz bigger cards play alot better vs fish than SCs coz we can VB TP alot easier or we can set postflop up for showdown.

Also as played it may of being better to check behind flop as there are a huge % of his holdings that will call any flop bet but delaying my c/b till a safe turn can help me try check behind river for pot control if called and beat his drawing hands. By checking flop i can maybe call a turn bet and check behind river.

make the 3bet a little bigger in the last hand and i think its fine. as played you are getting close to the odds you need but only if one of your overcards is live.

Well I had another session on full ring as i mentioned above which didnt go so well at all. Ended up down $29 in that session which Im very surprised I acheived. There were a ton of shorties on every table and my Ak just kept on whiffing plus i personally handed $130 to one player inparticular which Ill post the 3 hands that busted me. Again players are so bad that I was able to keep myself from losing alot more and I consider it an acheivement to of come away only down $29 to make my overall day yday at +63.

What I am considering is binning full ring altogether or just get off everest, even tho i think everest is super soft right now:
1- its riddled with super bad sh0rties which are annoying
    2- Next to no bonuses
    3- No rakeback at all

Actually maybe ill switched to 50nl fullring on FTP and clear my bonuses there with it, hmm that actually is what i shud of done dammit.

    Anyway heres the hand, everest doesnt have a converter sorry;

    btw opp plays 75/0 fwiw

#1 - If he wasnt such a donk i could of folded and Ive seen him lead some already.

Man, nothing like stacking off with TP Q kicker. That almost beats calling a 3-bet with QJ and donkbetting a dry board.

Wow, cant believe that guy hit a set of J's twice on you .

I just got an Everest bonuscode in my email. 100$ for 2k summit points. If I remember correct, that's about 2 weeks on 50NL 6max.

If you want to try if the code works for you as well, just let me know

yeah I used to play there, but I'm halfway clearing my 600$ bonus at FT now... although I'll make that easily since I started a month ago. Might just squeeze that Everest bonus in between.

Anyway easy money there compared to FT. player level much lower...
  19. #19
Im gonna be on Eurolinx clearing there $500 for just 5000 hands over 25c rake which shud be piss easy. Just waiting on everest and FT for the withdrawal to deposit there.

I expect to be flying in about a month or two at 200nl which is quicker than i expected. i think my BR is roughly around 2.6K-2.8K.

Eurolinx, never heard of it... wil check it out, but first I'll definitely finish my FT bonus, so will be another month before I do anything.

I should have gotten rakeback at FT, which would be a lot more interesting to stay there. But the site who I got it through has told me there are some problems and I haven't heard from them in 2 weeks, even though I emailed them twice...

so I'll probably move, although I do have 7k of FT points already. But we're playing for $$$, not points :P

A good day yday +$108 plus $20 bonus. got 1707 hands in too.

Deposited on Eurolinx and was reminded how nasty the software is and it seems the bonus will be alot slower than i thought so ill probably just withdraw and focus on fulltilt, I just love software that userfriendly.

First session yday seen me lose a buyin (-$45) at 50nl. I lost a set over set and got KK AI against AA preflop for 70BB. So that session was basically trying to limit damage.

Second session was on FT 50nl seen me swing back to being +$48 at 50nl 6max for the day. A good session where I made some more squeezes and Im noticing alot more spots where decent players are trying to isolate bad players who limp/call alot so i come in for a squeeze and pick it up nicely.

Third and final session I played 2-4 tables of 100NL. very first hand i doubled up thru nut str8 on flop against worse str8. In the end i just got +$60.

Good long session and I was 6 tabling 50nl on FT which is just a little harder than 4 tables. Only at 50nl which is easy enough, I notice there are some decent regs at 100nl but alot are still poor. Im still playing about 18/15 and id still like to add more hands in.

First hand seems a bit out of line, is that standard or just because of your reads and table image?

Yea without taking in any other factors then its a standard call and stack off if you hit.

Opp was fairly tight stats wise like 14/8. But I was very active, stealing 3 out of 3 times, Ive 3bet once all in a few orbits so i was active plus just an orbit ago the other blind 3bet and i folded. Once i decide to 4bet im commited preflop, if i was results orientated than I wud say i made the right play bcoz a 14/8 got JJ AI preflop

    LOL I just got fined €150 for littering or dumping in a part of Dublin on the 16th of Jan this year. hmm thing is;

    1) I was in work that day and Id say I was playing poker after work in the evening. I can check my blog if I was.

    2) My Dad also got the fine of €150 with me and yet I havent gone anywhere with him at all this year nevermind where I supposeably dumped.

    3) I havent been in that supposed area since June 07.

i can only think that someone stole some of the rubbish from my mams and there was some letters in it addressed to my dad and me!! wth lol otherwise how could they know who to fine??

I table select alot and there just wasnt any great tables to play at, plus i was on some life tilt and decided to not play at all after the mini session.

I counted bankroll after the session and Ive got €2998.93

lol, that's a dutch site so I understand what they're saying.

this guy was getting flamed by everyone for playing like an idiot. then he says he's experimenting. so everyone says, experiment ok, but playing like this is absolutely terrible. then he goes on that's he's been a winning player on 50NL for 2 years now etc. and he knows he normally has to play it differently...

ok after 1 page I stopped, but if you want more, I can translate all that, but it's mainly everyone telling him he's baaaaaad.

Havent made much in updates the last week or so but pokers been kicking my ass lately. Dropping about a $100 a session at 50nl, I honestly think Ive ran really bad cards wise then it started to affect my game. So i took Monday and Tuesday off poker, Tuesday I discussed some HHs with some ppl and it got my thinking cap on.

Anyway I played HU only last night on Prima for $200 plus ill get 55-60% RB on what I paid. ran 20bb/100.

Im seriousy loving HU tho Im such a nit.

No sure stepping up buyins and playing a different format is the best way to combat a downswing .

Get your A game back on man.
