Default 25NL: KK as overpair facing resistance

    PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (8 handed) Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    SB ($16.70)
    BB ($23.25)
    UTG ($36.05)
    Hero ($24.55)
    MP1 ($10)
    MP2 ($28.45)
    CO ($24.05)
    Button ($23.80)

    Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with K, K.
UTG calls $0.25, Hero raises to $1.25, 6 folds, UTG calls $1.

    Flop: ($2.85) 8, T, 4 (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets $2.5, UTG raises to $5, Hero raises to $10.25, UTG raises to $15.5, Hero...

Villain is like 20/3/.8 over 40 hands or so

Seems like a set given the aggression from this kind of passive... Would v really do this with a draw or TPGK?

I wouldn't put much weight into his AF stat over just 40 hands. VP$P and PFR converge much more quickly, but for AF I'd prefer a good 150+ or so.

If you're going to 3-bet the flop then you should go ahead and get it all in and not give draws good odds to call you down.

I would be inclined to let this one go to the minraise I think. If it was a 3-bet pot, then I'd be more than happy to get it in, but here I don't think you're going to be good very often.

i know i shouldnt reduce someones range of hands too quickly but the actions are screaming a set. Limp call is classic set then the check raise on the flop confirms it. your initial raise pre flop let him know you had big cards and now he is trying to milk you.
Whenever i see strentgh from weakness i remember all those bullets cracked by a set. If he is bluffing its his turn to win a small one.

    Yer a fuckin' genius.

My 3-bet was weak, but I shouldn't have made it in the first place. I've really gotta start respecting minraises from villains with tight lookin' stats .

Results: I pushed, villain had nuts on flop but I sucked out on the turn.

    Good call on the AF
