KK with A on the flop

So this has happened on numerous occasions, and I'd like to know some opinions on how people will play this hand.

You are in LP and holding KK and rais preflop, getting 2 callers.
Flop comes A-rag-rag and it is checked around and you c-bet.

Now obviously if there's a re-raise here, you're going to fold most times.
But what if it's just a call?

I have had this happen numerous times and I have no idea what to do when I don't have a read on my opponent. Would you c-bet again or check on the turn? What about on the river?

Any opinions would be appreciated.

If the turn isn't scary and it's checked to you again, bet 50% to 75% of the pot again. And if the river isn't scary and it's checked to you, I'd do it again on the river.

When you bet the flop: if they have an A, they will call/raise. If they can't beat an A, they will fold. I.e., that bet folds all hands we beat, and gets called by only hands that beat us.

So, check behind on the flop and try to get value from worse pairs.

poker is not a game of absolutes. throughing out blanket statements like this wont really helf OP out at all.

That's a good thread. I currently play $5.50 SnG so the play is, well you know, suspect. So it's not uncommon where I will see some goofy post-flop play like calling and checking the Ace to the better. I am constantly wondering if I'm being trapped or the villain is pulling a bluff. More often than not, if I'm not sure, I just fold it if I haven't invested too much of my stack into the hand.

Well i would say bet the flop to see where you are as an ace will raise. The problem is a lot of weak players will just flat call you on every street with an ace and a mid or weak kicker.

check it behind unless villain is a station that will call with lower pairs.

with a multi way pot in a soft game i check behind flop, then maybe c/c from there without reads (usually weak players screw up betting sizes so u can see a nice cheap showdown and make a big raise if you improve and get paid off by TPNK).
