Default Another food thread sorry: Chicken Piccata + What Wine?

My ex who I am still really close to(she was in my motorcycle accident with me) is coming out for the weekend and this is one of her favorite dishes.
I have been cooking a lot recently and pretty well so I think I won't have to much trouble making it.

I have never made it before but how does this recipe look?
    http://www.elise.com/recipes/archive...en_piccata.php

And what would be a decent wine to go with it? Something not too pricey and that I can find easy enough. I do not know shit about wine. Or should I just say fuck wine? I fail at being civilized.

white...a Riesling would work if you're using capers in the recipie

at work we have a lemon-garlic-chardonnay-caper reduction that we serve all the time... maybe a nice kendall jackson chardonnay??? i think riesling would be too sweet for a picatta style dish

here are some ideas for wine(under $20)

    sauvignon blanc--great food wine
    villa maria(NZ)

    brancott(NZ)
    nobilo(NZ)
    chateau ste michelle (US)
chateau st. jean fume blanc (US)
    mulderbosch (S AFRICA)

chardonnay(oaked or unoaked)--great quality on the cheap
champagne and sparkling wines--straight to the pants
spainish rose--dry and fun wines, great with food
chianti classico-- yes a red wine with chicken but only if she is a red wine only type

So I went to a smaller grocery store and they only had chateau ste michelle from your list. It was only like 9 bucks. We will see how this goes down lol
