Default I think this was retarded... Squeeze maniac and nit

UTG+1 is 80/65 over 30 hands, 8x raise is standard. Nit is 9/6 but surely anything that can call raises to isolate?

    PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (9 handed) Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    Button ($69.90)
    SB ($21.75)
    Hero ($55.45)
    UTG ($67.50)
    UTG+1 ($50.25)
    MP1 ($50)
    MP2 ($80.10)
    MP3 ($17.85)
    CO ($63.45)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 9, K.
    1 fold, UTG+1 raises to $4, MP1 calls $4, 5 folds, Hero raises to $14.5.....?

You are overestimating the smarts of an obvious bonus whore nit.

I think this play is a spew unless you KNOW that UTG+1 is capable of laying down to a 3bet. Even when you hit a flop you're stacking off to a better hand like AK or KQ

He won't fold very often. Do you want to play a big pot against him here?

Easy fold. I'm looking to push back with 66+/KJ+ when HU, or with significantly better (JJ+/AQ+) after uber nit comes into the pot. The nit doesn't need to raise to isolate, the 8xBB raise by UTG+1 already pushes everyone out of the pot. Why would the nit want to scare away his cash cow with a re-raise?

Yeah this was pretty dumb not least because I priced myself in to call a shove from the maniac...

This guy gives way too much action, wait for pretty good spot (don't be too nitty though) and value-town him as fustrating and lame as it can be to play like that.

I don't see the point in playing a marginal hand against a spewy player. Like said previously, its not like he won't still be throwing weight around when you're in a better spot.
