    Default Over-rated Bonus on Bodog?

Okay, so I'm thinking about depositing for the first time in order to build a bankroll, $50 on bodog (I plan on starting with their $2.00+0.20 SNGs). I see that they're still offering a "110%" sign-up bonus, but maxing out this bonus appearts to be impossible.

    Here's the math:

They will pay you $1 for every 10 points you earn in the first 30 days after signup.

Therefore, if I want to earn the full fifty, I have to earn 500 poker points.

Bodog gives out 3 points for every $1 collected in tournament fees. If I play the $2+0.20, or maybe even graduate to the $3.+0.30 during that time, I have to play ~4-5 tournaments (1 hour minimum) to earn 3 points. I'd have to play 400-500 tournies to get 300 (little over half) of the necessary points. That means, even if I play 10,12,14 hours of poker per day, every day, for thirty days, I still won't max out the bonus (a measly $50 to boot!). Granted, if I'm playing 10 hours a day, and not busting, I should be moving up the stakes. And I can successfully 2 table.

However, is this as big a scam as I think it is?

Multi-tabling ring games might be better for achieving that bonus in such a short time. I could be wrong, but this is how I've always done it.

    1. You play small stakes games: find a bonus tha tsuits your rake contribution.

    2. No bonuses are what the old skool class as 'good' anymore, hence yes, you will have to work for every penny.

Poker bonus are pretty tough to clear without multi-tabling. I've only ever cleared 2 bonuses before and both of those were quite a grind!

    Default Clear up

Let me clear this up for you with the use of a certain bonus site i use (not sure if im allows to say so i wont).

Bodog Poker Instant First Deposit Bonus
10%, max depending on depositing method ($8,000 is maximum deposit amount for Neteller)

No Bodog Poker bonus code is required

Must accumulate 3 Bonus Points for each $1 in bonus money

Bonus is released in one lump sum

The bonus never expires, but you cannot make a withdrawal before the bonus is cleared, as the bonus will be forfeited.

    Bodog Poker Second Bonus
New Bodog promotion for new players, which is in addition to regular Instant Bonus.

100% up to $500, based on your first deposit and how many Bonus Points you earn in the first 30 days.

For every 10 Bonus Points you earn in your first 30 days after your first deposit, Bodog will credit you with $1 in bonus.

To clear this bonus, you must earn the standard 3 Bonus Points per $1 in bonus.

Bonus is released in one lump sum.

The bonus never expires, but you cannot make a withdrawal before the bonus is cleared, as the bonus will be forfeited.

    SO IN SHORT::
If I were to deposite $1,000 for SnGs I would first of get
10% - $100 bonus which clears at 3points per $ in bonus, So 300points, and you recieve 3points for each $1 in tournament fees. So basically pay $100 in tournament fees and you clear your $100 bonus.

In addition, you get a maximum $500 bonus DEPENDING on how many points you clear in first 30days, so if i was to clear say 500points in your first 30days get an extra ( 500 / 10 ) $50 in bonus, which then clears again at 3pts / $

    In your situation:
Deposit $50, get $5 instant bonus, youll have to play 25 tournaments to clear this.

If you then play say 100 $2.20s in your 30days you get an added...
    100 x 20c = $20 in fees = 60points = $6 bonus
Which youd have to play 30 tournaments to clear

To get the full $50 for the 100% part, youd have to pay $166.67 in tournament fees in 30days, which is like 833sit and gos.

Hope this clears this up - if this is wrong dont blame me blame my unknown source
