2/5 pounds , 300bb bluff.....

-villain is a 26/18/4 reg (over about 3kish hands)
-I've played with him in the past at various limits
-several months ago at 10/20 he c/c a set of 6's on A6xxx board on all three streets and I spewed off 150 bb's
-today I have been playing solidly. We have had several hands together today and he has won all of them. One of them he raised QQ EP I called T8s, flopped T8x, he bet I raised he pushed and I called and turn/river came running 6's
-blind vs blind I raised AAs in SB he called, flop was 983 all spades, I bet, he raised I called, and c/c next two streets and he had 56spades for flopped flush
-Another hand he raised utg and I called in SB AJs, flop came AJT, I c/r he bombed I called and he had flopped straight KQ
-So far everytime I've played with him I've lost but everytime I've raised him I've had a legitimate hand

The only thing that I can see you are repping is 77 (I assume you would raise a set of TT's on the flop being so deep) which is too narrow for this bluff to work. I would not fold top pair in this spot if I would be opp.

How would you feel if this river was a diamond or a spade and I shoved? Is it BETTER if it's a diamond or spade? (I thought it was also conceivable that he could have the diamond draw or spade draw.. though in this case I could also bet less to get away with it)

I also think its possible I flat this flop against this villain given he has a high AF, and could prob double barrel a lot. But yah, its close, and I prob raise a set on this flop more often.

Also, what strong hand can villain have that is calling this river shove that DOESN'T come back over top my turn raise on such a drawy board? This was more on the lines of what I was thinking.

Yah I agree the turn raise is pretty bad.

I agree with all the posts that say I'm not repping much here etc etc, but I also still feel that he's also not that strong here. I guess I could be wrong.. I just feel like most strong hands are shipping it on turn, on this board.

I agree that his turn call is weird and he may be on a flush draw. He also might think your turn raise looked bluffy and is in calldown mode, hoping you'll spew more.

Big bluffs deep work a lot in my experience, but here you're playing a guy you know plays 10/20 (so the thought of losing $1.5k isn't a big deal) who might think you're tilting because of how much he's taken from you this session. I think you could pick a better spot and line.

When you're on tilt like this, it's probably best to take a break.

Aggressive styles perform best when you can keep your opponents in line and assigning you too tight of a range.

I would love this bluff against scared money, but this guy doesn't seem like that. If he suspects you are capable of bluffing 300BB deep, he will call you because your line doesn't make much sense.

Once I get to this river with this line, do people prefer a smaller bet at all? or should I just be shutting down and giving up?

betting 300-400ish > checking > bombing?

How much better is this bluff if the turn is instead the Js? (regardless of my hand/outs, assume I have air). Just in terms of what our calling range should be as villain.
