    Default The masters yo

So Sunday I'm going to watch tiger put on his 5th green jacket.

Am I right or am I right?
  2. #2
    you're probably right

    BUT

I have big money laying 2:1 that he won't win BOTH the Masters and the US Open. So, I'd appreciate him losing this one, cuz I doubt he'll lose at Torrey Pines.
  3. #3
    Also,

dfjlkdsaflkjdakjlf I'm working Thurs/Fri/Sat, oh well, at least I get to watch all of Sunday's round

wow thats bold, two courses that he absolutely can tear apart. One of my personal gambling rules is to never bet against tiger woods.

I think your timing kinda sucks though cause I can really see this year being better than 2000. When has someone ever said that winning the grand slam was realistic? lol

The Masters is presumably going to be the toughest major for Woods?

Anyhoo, Justin Rose is 40/1 to win and 10/1 to finish in the top ten. I think he has a real chance this year.

    himself fucker.
Drew Weaver can not be stopped. I'd take him against the field to win it all for 2-1.

    Sigh, weather delay already

Well, there goes 80% of the field's chances if the course gets wet

Heathcliff Slocumb has the early lead. Used to love him on the Phils.

I'm hoping Weir has a decent showing.

The Golf Channel is doing 'live from the masters' but its not showing play, just lots of interviews and updates.

Boo yeah!! Poulter hits a hole in one on the 16th and moves into the lead at 3 under.

Score one for the brits! Although Rose has got off to a dissappointing start

anybody see when Tiger was asked about the par 3 contest? after sportscenter showed how much fun everybody else has with it, then cut to an interview with tiger saying "it's not as fun as it used to be"

I'd be scared to play against anybody who refuses to have fun for sure.

Whoever is backing at 2:1 is a fool. I could get about 6:1 on that!!

I love woody austin's post round comments. " I told my buddies at home I could give them 18 greens in regulation and they still wouldn't break 80."

Those are some greens then huh.

I put up $40 to my friends $20 that he wouldn't win BOTH tournaments. He wins both, I lose $40, he wins 1 or none I get $20.

So, I think I'm still the fool, but he's 8 back with 45 holes to play, so I'm hoping I hold here cuz he sure as hell aint losing to anyone at Torrey Pines.

but you can back at a bookmakers at better odds than you laid at so get some money on it and get yourself a guaranteed profit regardless of the outcome!

and btw lolz at you earlier quote of "serious money!"
  33. #33
Spenda, The problem you have is that Woods could be five back on the last day and still win it. He's a fuckin bot obv.

All in all I've wagered about $500 on this tournament, but yea, this bet wasn't that big.

I would really appreciate Cink and Appleby playing well this weekend and Baddeley and Rose messing up a bit.

cuz Torrey is a virtual lock

It's not an awful bet, certainly looks OK right now with Tiger at +1
  37. #37
Am gutted for Rose, he seems to be choking on the second round - again!!!

Last year he led after the first round and then shot a 75. Looks to be going the same way this year.

Didn't realise that he'd led/co-led 3 of the last 4 years. He string it together one day!!!

funny thing is he actually still has a chance. The lead isn't going to get any higher i don't think and he is very capable of shooting 66 or 67 tommorow.
  40. #40
lol 66 if the weather comes in like it's supposed to

Phil wins this thing by 3-4
  41. #41
I hope not I can't stand phil. I would love to see snedicker or imelman win. ( I know I completely butchered their last names)
  42. #42
oh, I don't like Phil either, but it's his to lose now

Huh? Loads of golf yet Spenda.

Casey is flying but I'm gutted that Poulter has gone to pieces.

    Also, Tiger is still there........
  46. #46
Jesus Fucking Christ. Did you just see that shot from within the trees on 18 by Woods. Fucking sick. Like I said before, bot
  47. #47
lol Phil, way to throw another away

sigh, this tournament is over, weather is getting crappy and there isn't one proven winner near Tiger.

I think you're probably half-right. Depends what happens on the last few holes today but Tiger is in the position he always seems to win from. Hasn't played his best golf yet either.
  49. #49
uh, Tiger never wins from behind yo

so, this isn't a position he always seems to win from, he's a front-runner. Hopefully Trevor keeps playing out of his mind and has a 4-5 stroke lead come tomorrow.
  50. #50
I thought in your previous post you were saying Tiger was bound to win.

I've seen him obliterate the field by leading but I'm sure I've seen him win from behind on the last day a few times but maybe not at the Augusta.

Anyway, I'm a crap golfer and fairly drunk at the mo, so what do I know
  51. #51
looks like he's 5 back with 1 round to play. He's never come behind on sunday to win before though. So I'm expecting a typical sick round from him tomorrow that comes up just short. Snedyker ftw imo.
  52. #52
2 things really impressed me today

    Immelman's ball striking
    Snedeker's comeback after bogeying 11,12, and 13
  53. #53
Immelman has missed only 3 fairways threw 54 holes and he really hit the ball solid today. I wouldn't be surprised if he won tommorow.

I watched the final round of that tournament that snedeker won last year when he came from way back and made a bomb on the 17th to go into the lead and his game just really impressed me. I'm actually trying to mimick his shortgame routine as it matches my long game tempo better.
  54. #54
Steve Flesh really hit the ball solid today as well.
  55. #55
yea, I just confused which lefty in that group was going to play well...

  58. #58
Jesus, Paul Casey - what a let down.
  59. #59
Bit of an anti-climax. Everyone's gifted it to Immelman
  60. #60
he's also made every clutch putt he's had

    he's won it
  61. #61
I've only seen two people hit it in the pond on 16

    seve and norman

what the fuck kind of golf shot was that?

man, how did everyone collapse so hard?
    Cash Rules Everything Around Me.
  63. #63
not collapses, just a really tough golf course that finally dried out and gritted it's teeth today
  64. #64
the wind was blowing hard today to.

Its funny how coming in second in a major is a career accomplishment to everyone except tiger woods.
  65. #65
Jack had more 2nds than win, lately Tiger has been trying to catch up.

o well gg immelman and your retardedly good golf swing.

I hope this is just a 2 year anomaly and the masters doesn't turn into the us open scoring wise. I miss the days were somebody comes from 3 or 4 back on the back nine to win.

I think they had the course right on the edge of being too hard (which is where they want it) and wind pushed it over the edge.

It is funny how Tiger "sprays his driver", "doesn't make any putts" , etc. and finishes 2nd.
  69. #69
it's also funny how he sprays driver and it's never in that bad of shape, yea, it pisses me off how it blows it 3 fairways over and Fred Funk misses the fairway by 4 feet and funk is in a lot worse shape than Tiger

i like the under dog to win, but with tiger i just want to see him win, because i want to see him shatter nicklaus' record for masters and sneeds record for matches, because he is the greatest golfer of all time.
