    Preflop: Hero is Button with A, K. MP posts a blind of $2.
    1 fold, MP (poster) checks, Hero raises to $8, SB calls $7, 1 fold, MP folds.

    Flop: ($20) 8, 4, Q (2 players)
    SB checks, Hero bets $16, SB raises to $42, hero...

    no, dont raise someone with a wide range who isnt raising you with a wide range.

    Seems like this board is really bad for this. His calling range is set, QK, AQ so you don't have any outs for a semi-bluff. And since it's soooted you're probably gonna get called by those queens. QJ or QT probably doesn't play like this, although maybe if you've been out of line. I don't think this line is a semi-bluff very often for obvious reasons...he might show up with 8s9s or something like that I suppose, but that's still not good for you as it's calling a shove.

    So air folds, rest of range calls.
