I think I like a smallish blocking bet. If villian is fairly week he may just check behind, but may be willing to call a small bet. With his remaining stack being at $37.10 I think somewhere around $20 feels right (to this ring game newbie anyway).

check indending to fold to most bets.

So you don't think our 2 pair is good here?

If he bets something stupid, call.

Without a read it's hard to tell how light he's calling a big river bet.

If he's a known fish, 35-40ish for value is spiffy.

villain only has 37 behind, you're only move is to shove here. He'll have two pair often enough to make it profitable.

I would have bet $4 more on turn, but if I check it is to check/fold.

    Shove > check/fold > check/call

I think shoving is our only move here. He still calls with a lot worse.

Misread the effective stack size. Easy shove then.

Recently, my opponents sucked out on river like crazy in my games.
Obviously, he called my shove with Qs9s.

I would bet more on the turn, villain looks like a donk, might as well get your moneys worth.

No need, we've set up a river shove nicely with the $20 bet.
