Forum Topic Ratings

We have added a new feature to our FTR Poker Forum. Any registered member can now rate the value of a topic and anyone may view the overall rating of all topics that have been rated.

Contributing to the rating of a topic is easy! At the bottom of each topic page, there are rating numbers (1 through 5) with rate and clear buttons next to them. Simply click on your rating for the topic and then click rate. The clear button may be used to change your rating before submitting it.



Some rules apply:

• You cannot rate your own topic.
• You can rate each topic only once.
• You must be logged in to rate a topic.

In the future, we will have other ways of indexing and searching for highly-rated topics, so your input is valuable to your fellow members and new visitors alike. Please use this new feedback tool as much as you can and make your opinion count!

Cool! So at some point we can find the highest rated posts in any forum? What about the highest rated posters? This could get fun.

Highest-rated topics, yes, not posts. And yes, we'll have a way of viewing the average rating of topics originated by members.

Average topics rating have been added to member profiles and the member list. This is the average rating of all topics originated by the member.

The member list is sortable by topics rating. To view the highest average ratings, go to the bottom-right of the page where it says "Select sort method" and select Topics Rating and Descending then click the Sort button.

Two questions - what does Credits mean under the individual profile:

And can you make the topic rating sortable on the memberlist? I'd like to see who are the best posters and read their stuff! (Not surprised that Fnord is already a top rated member).

Yep.

The member list is sortable by topics rating. To view the highest average ratings, go to the bottom-right of the page where it says "Select sort method" and select Topics Rating and Descending then click the Sort button.

Now, you can also sort your forum searches by topic rating.

On the Search page, select Topic Rating in the "Sort by" pull-down form before clicking Search.


This works for results displayed as either Posts or Topics. Try it out now!
