I don't have any actual hand history but... wow.
I set down at a paradise 25NL table (10 handed). first hand i get dealt is 88. i limp it, someone raises 1.15 from the sb and i call. We go headsup to the flop, which comes 8c7s3c. He leads out for $2, i raise a small amount and he pushes. I call and stack him with 88.
So now, the very next hand, i get dealt 77 and limp. probably 6 limpers to the flop, 6c7cJs. Another flopped set! bb leads out for 95cents, i raise to $3 and the dealer, a 200bbs stack, cold calls (i'm thinking either strong draw or two pair, hopefully a set 6's) and the original bettor calls. the turn is a 9d. bb checks, i bet out $7-$8, dealer calls, bb folds. River is a Kd, i lead out for $15, and get raised all in for probably $24 more.
My question is with no reads (i just sat down),is this an easy call? He could easily have a set of 6's, any two pair, or just be a complete numbnuts. I'm getting 3-1 odds so this is an easy call. If i'm wrong correct me.
Anyways, he had 10h8h for a straight. When he raised on the river that popped in my head, but 85 was a lot more likely. It was just pretty weird that i flopped two straight sets and lost my large stack on the second one.
The funny thing is that i got dealt 44 the very next hand but couldn't play it because i didn't rebuy in time, i only had about 1.00.
