I have to fold river since I beat pretty much one hand in his range (AQ) and tie with AK. Should I have checked behind the turn?

so you don't think QsQx or KxJs are in his range?

Hum, i suppose QsQx could be in there.

He's 10/7/2 with a river AF of 1. He plays pretty close to the same range in all positions.

EDIT: I just found a hand where he hit his K on the flop with AK, bet it, check/called the turn, and then checked the river. This was on a dry board.

    Call, chop the pot.

    I'd call.

Do you ever raise the flop?

id probably check behind turn and definitely fold river, looks like he had trips/2 pair by the turn, decided to check call due to the flush completing then hopes to get paid off by the perceived flush by shoving the river.
"This sure beats Super Mario Bros.!" is my ejaculation catch phrase.

Why's his stats make it easier? You'd 3b less vs looser?

Against guys like that you should FOLD AK (and probably QQ/JJ except to play set or bet if checked to.)

3-betting AK here changes the dynamic of the hand a lot and might not be what you want to do. It really depends on how he plays, how you feel and if you want to mix up your game a bit. Also, he'll usually rep flops you hit making up for the bet you missed pre-flop.

O when kingnat asked i was thinking i was holding KK for some reason.

Yah i'm not 3betting AK vs this guy, same reasons fnord said.
