Default 5/10 - flopped set 320bb deep - river value decision

Villain is a winning reg running 20/16/3.5. I've c/r'ed him a few times this session, he's only called once when I had overcards on a low paired board, I fired turn, he called and I gave up river, he had TT.

Lots behind... straightforward vb or c/r to let missed draws bluff?

I much prefer a bigger bet here i think, I don't think the 450/inducaments will work often enough. So I'd say 1125.

I guess my biggest question is have you or anyone else overbet him in the past and how has he responded?

It seems like a spot where his calling range does not change all that much from one bet-size to another but overbetting or valuebetting big does take away a bluff shove from him.

    I'd bet.

    What was turn timing like?

spenda: No overbetting history. But with these stacks I can bet pot and still have very close to pot behind! So it seems like it's less a matter of leaving enough behind for a bluff than choosing an amount that encourages one?

ISF: Turn call was pretty quick, I remember it being quicker than I expected.

a little town called none of your goddamn business
your c/r on the flop seems really really big, also i normally lead flop

I would bet for sure, he has AA and stuff too much and you need to give him a chance to call with it. Your line looks way too strong to expect him to bluff at this.

Since there's a lot of agreement I'll post results and another question.

I bet a cool $1000 and he timebanked. Took up a good portion of it, like 20 seconds, so I don't think he was hollywooding. During that time he typed:

    xxx: 78 spades?
    xxx: do u show?
    xxx: if i fold

I didn't respond. After the hand he said he folded AA. Anyone respond to chat like this in these situations?

nooo id shutup, sometimes when fish tank i usually say something dumb in chat to induce calls, but vs regs id just shattap here

You should've bet 1111, he woulda def called that.

I'd bet this always, especially since spades missed and if he's calling down he might convince himself to call cause spades didn't get there.

I do kinda like the 1111 bet.
