Default NL5-SH and 1.20 SNG- Should I stop the SNGs?

I started playing NL5-SH games while waiting for the blinds to increase in the SNGs. I started off losing miserably in the SH games til I did some studying (imagine that). Now I'm doing much better.

As soon as the blinds were 50/100 or there were 6 players left in the SNG, I would stop playing the SH game and focus on the SNG. I now think that I am losing money(or at least losing a chance to win money) by stopping the SH game. In general I'm usually up by a buck or so in the SH after 30 minutes and then quit to try to win between $0.60-$3.30 in the SNG. After another hour or so I may be ITM in the SNG but I'm thinking "What if I kept playing the SH game?" I can't really concentrate on a bubble SNG and a SH at the same time. If I play the SH and nothing else I get bored and watch tv, etc. I tried playing 2 SH games simultaneously but thats too much.

    What should I do?

    You can either:
    1. Multi-table ring
    2. Multi-table SNGs

if playing both is not working out

When you're starting out with poker (relatively speaking), you should probably concentrate on either sngs or cash games. If you're bored playing your sng, go ahead and add another sng like iopq suggested. playing a bunch of sngs at once and staggering their start times should take away some of the boredom.

I really am getting bored with the SNGs for some reason, even playing multiple tables. I enjoyed them at first because I could win a few but the way I play them I rarely see flops until there's about 6 players left. It just annoys the crap outta me to play for an hour then lose on the bubble with AA, KK, etc. I know it's part of the game but still...

I think I'm going to start playing ring games only. I played 2 at one time last night and ignored the tv, phone, wife, etc. and did fairly well. I enjoy these more as I'm not folding almost every hand for 30 minutes.

imo it takes way more time investment in micro sng's to make the same profit you would make at cash.
Wikipedia is the best thing ever. Anyone in the world can write anything they want about any subject. So you know you are getting the best possible information.

wondering where the 3 extra chairs at my 6max table came from
I think your pers style comes into play too. I never really learned to adapt my nittiness to a winning middle and end game at SNGs effectively (also don't play HU cash prolly for some of the same reasons...). So I suck at them, and therefore don't really play them.

I do think you should pick one or the other to mainly focus on. And then play the other occassionally just for the mental, f-k it, I just need a break break. If that makes sense.....
