Default another multiway spot thats kinda stupid 400nl

    MP is a Fish 40/12/2.5
UTG is 18/14/3 No history or reads

I feel like it makes no sense for utg to check the flop with any part of his value range with the fish in the pot so wtf at the cold call and now the fish shoves which is kinda what I wanted anyway but what do I do with utg behind me?

    Note: again almost 150bb deep.

    No-Limit Hold'em, $4.00 BB (6 handed) - Hold'em Manager Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    CO ($641.50)
    Hero (Button) ($1082.45)
    SB ($436)
    BB ($428.55)
    UTG ($574.40)
    MP ($371.80)

Preflop: Hero is Button with 10, 9
UTG raises $16, MP calls $16, 1 fold, Hero calls $16, SB calls $14, 1 fold

    Flop: ($68) 10, 2, 2 (4 players)
SB checks, UTG checks, MP bets $60, Hero raises $132, 1 fold, UTG calls $132, MP raises $295.80 (All-In), Hero?

The action is really weird but it seems like an easy fold given that MP can have better T's or even a 2. I have no idea what UTG has.

I'm assuming "small flop raise" = trying to isolate with his weak top pair, to thin the field and probably take down the pot or get it in vs MP's draw.

I'm also assuming the plan went out the window when UTG cold called + MP shoves!

    I fold as played.

    UTG has quad deuces, beware
Nine to five is how to survive - I ain't trying to survive / I'm trying to live it to the limit and love it a lot //

SNAP fold, really dislike the raise on the flop.

I'd also be surprised if UTG showed up with less than 1010 here too.

It looks like UTG opted to check an overpair on the flop then didn't know what to do when the action got back to him. It's hard for him to have the case T's or 2's, and he would probably just check-shove a flush draw instead of check-cold-calling.

The flop raise is really bad, and you have the easiest fold in poker once it gets back to you.

    Alright so my thoughts:

I'm decently happy getting it in vs mp which is why I raised. I raised small to induce a light shove from mp. I never expect utg to check a strong hand here with a fish in the pot on a two tone board cause that would be terrible imo. So I expect him to be c/f very frequently.

Help me out why is that so terrible?

(I realize that flatting is fine as well and I'd likely do that some of the time.)

I actually dont mind the small flop raise to isolate the fish, but super easy fold now.

I don't see the need to isolate - the other players aren't coming along anyway unless they have decent equity against you, in which case they likely aren't folding to your raise.

They might come along with more hands such as 77 or something if you simply call but that's not a bad thing.

They are unlikely to bluff you off your hand with a fish in the pot, as they know the hand is likely going to showdown with him in.

If the fish has a hand which has decent equity against you then the money is getting in whatever happens, however if he is just on some spazzy bluff then you are also giving him (more of) a chance to donk off his stack with some random hand.

I guess the pot is big enough here that we dont need to build it. Is villain going to float with overs often if we flat?

a little town called none of your goddamn business
i don't understand why you are so confident to get it in vs donk. You could almost fold to that huge bet of his, raising seems suicidal.

I would like this hand infinitely better if we had AT.

AT >> 9T in terms of calling off I'd imagine.

Yeah this seams ideal. Seems like I also didn't pay attention to his bet size which isn't weak.

i dont see UTG having anything besides exactly TT/22 here and i'm in renton's camp on why you think T9 is so good here even vs a fish? I'm calling the flop bet always, but raising just does nothing good for us here.
eeevees are not monies yet...they are like baby monies.
