    Default Operation Back to basics

so my last operation was a great success...since then I've been having a tough time. Got the bankroll up to around 5K and then proceeded to lose most of what I had playing cash games. I want to stick to sng's and get back to where I was. I'll be posting hands along the way and hopefully be able to get back on track. Starting bankroll is $400 and I want to get back to 5K.

What's the play here? Blinds are huge and everyone is pushing AX preflop trying to steal...

Night one is in the books and I'm up a wopping $25. I still feel like I'm on a downswing...only got up by playing some heads up games at the end of the night...bubbled several times.

    Ugh...

Hmm, I'm a little out of the SNG game, but I'd think thats a call. I just cant fold a PP with 5bbs and no obvious short stack on the table.

You lost from 5k down to 400, or did you withdraw and stuff as well?

Been back and forth from $11 turbos to $22's and had a hard time making the jump. Feeling good now.

Been playing quite a bit of PLO turbo heads up as well...heading in the right direction

I fold, if you had Daver-Do's stack it'd be an easy push I think.
    Check out my self-deprecation here!

I'm pretty sure 66 is a shove, but right on the borderline. With 5 people left you need to get chips with some equity (+FE). On the bubble might be a bit closer but I still think its a push.

back on track for the most part...about $150 down from where I topped out a week or so ago but was down to almost $700 at one point. Feeling good...trying not to play too much or when I'm tired. Full speed ahead.

Finally got my full tilt roll up over the 1K mark. Took so friggin long. I forgot how patient you really need to be sometimes to win these things.

I had an awful night the last two in a row...went on tilt last night had like 6 bad beats in a row. Lost half my roll...what a moron. Need better BR mgmt and need to shut down after 4 losses in a row. Time to regroup...back at the $11's.

    Sigh.

Pretty big cash tonight in the FT 12500...unfortunately with 5 players left I pushed with A2 suited and was called by 77 but the cash was really good for me right now.

Time to take a small break and start grinding the $22 turbos again
  19. #19
Running better...playing $22 and $33 turbos and mixing in some cash games. I was having a rough go of sng's lately and I feel like I'm getting some momentum.
  20. #20
sng's seemed to dry up...I was getting sucked out on a lot. Favorite hand was an all in push preflop with pocket aces in late position called by A2 of hearts in early position...even stacks. A2 hits flush.

SO...I've been playing mostly cash games and doing really well. Just need to be sure I don't have any big swings and if I start losing I'll shift things up.

    2K I'm on the way!

This hand really killed me...I don't know what to do when the turn comes down heart and the only reads I have thus far is that people are playing awful hands often

And then shortly after...an absolute awful play by me preflop and an even more disgusting call on the river pays off. The size of the bet just convinced me that I was (somehow) ahead. I must be a genius

First hand is nasty being 3-way. Someone almost certainly hit their flush here, so its a question of trying to get to the river as cheaply as possible to see if you can hit your 10 outter. Without reads its tough. If they're unlikely to raise, then b/f is good. If you think they'll slowplay or bet small to 'get value', then c/c. Against unknowns I probably check and evaluate based on the size of any bet. If its too much you just need to fold.

I dont mind the second hand. 4 handed thats loose but not terrible hand for CO. Turn is probably ok. River I'd c/c rather than b/c. Not sure if that was meant to be a blocker bet or what. He represents essentually nothing with his raise, I honestly expected to see a busted FD. I dunno wtf he was doing turning up with that hand there.
Just dipping my toes back in.
