Default Facing donk bet from Tagg

I still don't know how to react properly to donk bets. I always put good players on strong hands when they do this.

    Villain has taggy stats 24/18/3.1
I haven't played with him enough to know if he is a solid player or not.
FWIW this is the 2nd time he has donk bet after 277 hands.

Is flop a raise or just a call?
Now that I raised, is the turn a b/f, b/c, or check behind?

    $2/$4 No Limit Holdem
    5 players
    Converted at weaktight.com

    Stacks:
    Hero (CO) ($414.20)
    BTN ($587.40)
    SB ($396.00)
    BB ($468.90)

    Pre-flop: ($6, 5 players) Hero is UTG
Hero raises to $14, 2 folds, SB calls $12, 1 fold

    Flop: ($32, 2 players)
SB bets $24, Hero raises to $75, SB calls $51

    Turn: ($182, 2 players)
    SB checks, Hero bets ???

Just curious if you remember what he had the first Donk bet?

Nope just looked at my HUD and it said his donk bet percentage was 22% (2/9)

Well you are far above the stakes I am at but would you put it past him to be testing your possible mid PP. Also those stats seem kind of low/really tight for four handed. If his VPIP is 24 and the PFR is 18 does that mean he raises almost everytime he plays. If so can we assume it is most likley not AA,KK,QQ. the heart/straight draw is what stresses me here. (Possible TT or unlikley JJ) As played I would check turn and see how he reacts on the river. Then C/C or C/F if he stacks. He doesn't seemed to interested in taking it down on the turn or the 7 made his straight. The only things that he would call on the river probably have you beat.

Then again, giving your stakes, my thoughts are probably simplistic.

Looks like a flush draw. His stats are fairly sane, so I doubt he's playing a set like this on that wet a board.
    Check out my self-deprecation here!

I'd bet again for sure. I'd expect to see hearts or KQ more often than 89 or something here.

Basically when he flats your raise, you can take 2 pr and sets out of his range. The board is just too draw heavy to flat w/ those hands since he has to think "well what am I gonna do it if it comes K/Q/9/8/7 or a heart" ... There's too many bad cards, so a hand like that would have bet the flop with the intention of putting in the 3rd bet if you raise. I'd put him pretty much on either a weaker top pair than yours that is trying to bluff catch you, or some kind of weak draw that couldn't stack off on the flop profitably. Something like 89 Q9 or hearts. 89 is the only one that got there on the turn, and he can still have a bunch of other stuff like KJ/QJ/J9, so probably bet turn and be prepared to call it off.

I'd think he has a draw a lot here.

[edit] Looks like an old page, few responses since. Yeah, I bet again for sure.
Just dipping my toes back in.

Bet and insta super snap call a shove or shove a lot of rivers.
