Default T9s, straight on river on paired board

    Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (6 handed) - Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    UTG ($62.60)
    MP ($73.15)
    Hero (CO) ($76)
    Button ($20.45)
    SB ($15.75)
    BB ($16.15)

Preflop: Hero is CO with 9, 10
UTG bets $1.75, 1 fold, Hero calls $1.75, 3 folds

    Flop: ($4.25) 9, Q, Q (2 players)
    UTG checks, Hero checks

    Turn: ($4.25) 8 (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets $2.85, UTG calls $2.85

    River: ($9.95) J (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets $5.45, UTG raises to $16.50, Hero folds

    Total pot: $20.85 | Rake: $1

Villain was 26/12/0.7 no reads but the flop and turn checks were slow and the river check was fast

Should I have bet the flop? Turn I'm just betting for value. Is b/f river even though we hit bad?

    Played fine, ni han.
"This sure beats Super Mario Bros.!" is my ejaculation catch phrase.

It's a relatively small pot and I call river here sometimes expecting to split a decent amount and to occasionally see dumb bluffs and also to lose sometimes. Your also getting 3:1.
