omaha hi/lo patience and hand selection
The simple fact of omaha is hand selection and position. which is the more important, there are two schools of thought. The hand selections are to me the most important. So many players like to play every flop. then they wonder why their chip stack disappears.I go with the name of the game hands. Hi/ and /lo draws, three each way at a minimun and don't chase the duplicated lo draws that negate my first or second nut lo. The pots that go hi are the scooper and advantage pots, but betting on a nut flush or straight before the river is A dangerous way to play. It depends on the complexion and my personal judgement of the skill and unskilled players at the table. Most important to success is the patience to wait on the good draws and then understanding when to push or trap.
