Default Jacks are a monster compared to what you played, Taki!

    1)
V is a reg, 4 tabling I think. He probably runs a little on the nitty side for a 6m reg. We'd been playing together on a few tables for half an hour and hadn't really gotten into anything. I figured there's a good chance he folds most of his range here but my hand is going to be really hard to play post-flop without better reads.

Call on the flop scared me, so I gave up on the turn.
    Cake Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (5 handed) - Cake-Poker Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    MP ($100)
    Button ($129.95)
    SB ($173.80)
    Hero (BB) ($132.60)
    UTG ($32.05)

Preflop: Hero is BB with J, J
1 fold, MP bets $3.50, 2 folds, Hero raises to $13, MP calls $9.50

    Flop: ($26.50) 4, 10, 8 (2 players)
Hero bets $21, MP calls $21

    Turn: ($68.50) Q (2 players)
    Hero checks, MP checks

    River: ($68.50) A (2 players)
    Hero bets $22

    2)
The button is a reg and the short stack is positionally aware and agro. I nearly timed out preflop. I decided to try to kick the reg out of the pot.

hand 1 fine untill river, then c/f.

hand 2: Looks fine, though I make it $22 rather than $16.5.
"This sure beats Super Mario Bros.!" is my ejaculation catch phrase.

Wait what? That flop call scares you? I think he can safely float a hudge part of his range on that flop esp if your going to give up with JJ.

I don't really like hand 1 particularly. I just don't see people calling very light in this spot at all, given the turn and river cards that came out. I'd almost rather c/c and let him bluff some crappy low pair than bet myself here. I think you need meta to value bet here. That being said, I like betting the turn still.

That being said, if you're going to bet the river, I think your sizing is really good for getting a stubborn hand to call.

I just think too many hands might call the turn (89, 9T, JT, Tx, 8x) and the turn mostly only completed QJ and an AQ float maybe.

In hand 1, I don't think I can call a river bluff, and if I check the river I'm putting up a sign that says "Pot for sale, cheap!".

    1) i think ur reasoning is okay in hand 1...

    2) how is he positionally aware but playing for 40bb? most shorties double up and leave no? Totally standard though if SB 3bets a lot but somehow i dont think its the case with these 40bb ppl

how the hell do these two statements go together?
the hand is really bad, turn is a very easy shove and river is an easy check/decide
