    Default 25NL: Pot Odds ?

    Villian Stats : (VP$IP/PFR [Street Aggression] 3-bet%)

    UTG: 32/22 [0 3 inf] 0% over 38 hands
    CO : 17/8 [4 2 2] 3% over 244 hands
    BTN: 17/14 [inf inf -] 8% over 83 hands

    My Thoughts And Questions

Start of be iso raising with my 55. Very std for me. Get flatted behind and then also raised behind. Original limper flats and i am getting laid 3.3 to 1 with one player to act. This pot IS gonna be multiway so i need to showdown the best hand and thus i am playing it for set value only. Ok so needing to call $3 i am getting on average 8 to 1 on all the villians stacks. Now my norm is to look to be getting at least 10 to 1 on stacks adjusting for position and type of player. Also i am pretty sure the player behind me flats as well that will increase my odds to 4.3 to 1. So 4.3 to 1 plus 8 to 1 and i get 12.3 to 1. Can i add it up like that ? Then i think i have to call.

Hand might seem pretty trivial but i find myself doubting myself quite a bit when calling a bigish bet preflop and only set mining.

    Poker Stars $0.10/$0.25 No Limit Hold'em - 6 players

    Hero (MP): $26.25
    CO: $27.40
    BTN: $25.00
    SB: $28.15
    BB: $4.75
    UTG: $27.00

Pre Flop: ($0.35) Hero is MP with 5 5
UTG calls $0.25, Hero raises to $1, CO calls $1, BTN raises to $4, 2 folds, UTG calls $3.75, Hero calls?

3 into 13 + 21 or 3 to 34 so about 1:11 odds. If co calls, 3:37 or 1:12.33 odds. Its fine to add it up like this, assuming the btn has a strong enough range. IE, so long as he isnt 3b/squeezing wide so that he'll stack off everytime you'll hit.

he will never stack off every time you hit because his value range has AK so sometimes he'll miss the flop
sometimes he'll fold his QQ/KK on an overcard flop

    etc.

Yeah i know that is why even on a very tight range i want at least 10 to 1 and would take 15 to 1 from any situation.

You still make the call iopq in my hand ?

It's a call, but I think you need to steal the pot at least some of the time without a set
I figure if we stack one person the times we have a set that's 12%
but we'll probably get set over set type of crap 1% of the time or something so we're gaining 10% of someone's stack on average when we flop a set

    so that's 2.5 and we're calling 3
to win the extra 50 cents we'd probably need to get that money back by flopping an oesd and drawing with correct outs or maybe even stealing the pot when we read our opponents well

Was watching a poker vids where they guy said you can call with less implied odds as your edge over an opponent increases. So now when you say that you would have to steal the pot some of the time wihtout a set..... i am scratching my head here to think when i could do that multiway. So i obviously don't have the skill edge so i need a little more implied odds in general.

    Title should be implied odds.
