Cbetting in 3bet pots (25NL)
Now obviously this comes down to a players 2bet/call range, board texture, and position. Although what are the difference in when it comes to cbetting in comparison to a 2bet pot. Our perceived range is stronger unless there is a dynamic that would change this. The SPR is smaller. Anything else ?
Concerning a players 2bet/call range i would normally look at his fold to 3bet% to get an idea how wide he is calling. For the 3bet stats to mean anything though you need a lot of hands. So when playing against a villian that you have seen invloved in say less than 10 3bet pots what is the general range you would put him on ?
Another interesting stat for me is the fold to cbet in a 3bet pot. This ties a lot in with his fold to 3bet % i think. Once again the problem is that this stat will take even longer to mean anything than the fold to 3bet%. Is there perhaps some correlation with a players fold to cbet in a 2bet pots. Gives us a clue if he plays fit/fold on flop or like to call off one street the same way as he does in 2bet pots.
Are Ace high flop now less cool than they are in 2bet pots ? I would think so. I have to think in general players 2bet/call range is tighter than their limp/call and cold calling ranges. Although saying that there 2bet/call ranges in general will be big Aces and PP. Now there are more PPs than big aces. So Ace high flops are still cool just less cool ? Hope i am making sense.
As the pot is bigger and our perceived range should be stronger does that mean we should cbet more in 3bet pots than 2bet pots ? For example lets say we 3bet bluff 57s from a BTN opener with a 25% open range and a fold to 3bet of 70%. Flop Come KQx. Do we bother Cbetting? As his opening ranges opens and/or his fold to 3bet lowers the answer must we get more and more inclined to cbet/fold.
Anywayz think i have rambled on here a bit and dunno if i have structured my thoughts well so for the moment i am gonna leave it at this. Hopefully we can get some good discussion going.
