AK squeeze on BTN

    Default AK squeeze on BTN

perfect spot to squeeze, i've also had a few spots where I had shown quite a bit of aggression vs Opp and I was also in position.

There is ONE more fish that limped who I could keep in but it'll get a bit more tricky to play a flop 4ways here I think.

Opp is 20/16/4.2, fold to 3bet 59%, 4bet range at the time was about 4.5% (frequency 30%)

It's such a perfect spot for a squeeze and he's not going to give me huge credit (other than the fact that CO is a huge fish and my range should be somewhat decent against him since i cant ever fold to a shove.

Does it at all matter that we're slightly deep here for him to make a 4bet in this spot?

    $1/$2 No Limit Holdem
    6 players
    Converted at weaktight.com

    Stacks:
    UTG ilsardotto ($301.38)
    UTG+1 peeeedor ($261.00)
    CO CharlyNL ($79.10)
    BTN Hero ($245.25)
    SB muxulus ($209.00)
    BB juanrito ($209.10)

    Pre-flop: ($3, 6 players) Hero is BTN
ilsardotto calls $2, peeeedor raises to $9, CharlyNL calls $9, Hero raises to $30, 2 folds, ilsardotto folds, peeeedor raises to $69, CharlyNL folds, Hero raises to $245.25, peeeedor raises to $261

    Final Pot: $520.25

squeeze is slightly too small, but standard? Do you not get AK in for stacks regularly or something?

i would sometimes fold AK in later positions if i get 4bet by a tight UTG who i'd put their range on JJ-AA/AK but now I'm almost never *FOLDING* AK pre

are you playing in the same 1/2 games i am? wtf? you have a 2004 reg date yet this post seems like i should be in the beginners circle from someone who's playing .01/.02. i understand you are on a downswing, but give some serious thought to quitting poker if this post is for real.

    are you high

here's what happens when you squeeze someone UTG at 1/2:

    Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $2.00 BB (6 handed) - Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    MP ($200)
    CO ($200)
    Button ($115.80)
    SB ($180.80)
    Hero (BB) ($200)
    UTG ($199.95)

Preflop: Hero is BB with K, A
UTG bets $6, 3 folds, SB calls $5, Hero raises to $28, UTG raises to $70, 1 fold, Hero raises to $200 (All-In), UTG calls $129.95 (All-In)

    Flop: ($405.90) A, 5, 5 (2 players, 2 all-in)

    Turn: ($405.90) 2 (2 players, 2 all-in)

    River: ($405.90) 10 (2 players, 2 all-in)

    Total pot: $405.90 | Rake: $3

    Results:
Hero had K, A (two pair, Aces and fives).
UTG had A, Q (two pair, Aces and fives).
    Outcome: Hero won $402.90

    Given stack sizes, 3bet bigger.

    Rest is standard.

yea obv i meant the opposite.

in any case theres not THAT many people id fold AK to if they UTG 4bet me, but for some opps is warranted if they NEVER do it with AQ.

in fact i havent seen my AK stack AQ in weeks, i rarely see AQ in all in pots for full stacks at this site..

one argument for squeezing a little less could be if you feel initial raiser can spazz out more by making it less so he can 4bet bluff us and we snap ship it.

I think there are still people like that at 200nl. Not everyone is stacking off light, even regs.
Just dipping my toes back in.
