Default 1/2 AK 3bet do we barrel?

no real history with opp but initial impression is that he's pretty laggy, running 33/29/2.3 and 3bet 7% over 46 hands (flop/turn frequency 50%+)

if i were in his shoes I'd think this would be a great flop to float, and otherwise call with under pairs. this would make it seem like a good idea to barrel, but we have like no equity and our range is AA/KK/AQ/QQ/22/66 only

    UTG GuilhermeOSA ($274.25)
    UTG+1 Belagiomio ($201.55)
    CO peeeedor ($199.40)

    SB The747 ($198.00)
    BB Hero ($446.15)

    Pre-flop: ($3, 6 players) Hero is BB
3 folds, nimeschyme raises to $7, 1 fold, Hero raises to $24, nimeschyme calls $17

    Flop: ($49, 2 players)
Hero bets $28, nimeschyme calls $28

    Turn: ($105, 2 players)
    Hero checks, nimeschyme bets $105

    Final Pot: $210

Probably c/f turn. Maybe even c/f flop v's this guy.

Disclaimer: Playing whiffed AK OOP is a weak point of mine

i suppose if we think opp can get out of line and sense he might be floating... in this case he INSTA POTS turn, that just seems weird to me..

in any case, if we did have a hand here, would bet flop, CR turn be sweet?

Against a guy like that, for sure I'd play an overpair or better that way. Possibly even AQ. The problem is I think that works because he spazzes when you do it and gets ai weak which isnt what we want here.

i'm not saying we should be CR here with air because i think with 3/4 of his stack in he's calling here all day with any piece of the board.... but if we do it with actual real hands it's good for value and because in the future he'll know that just because we check turn doesnt mean we're giving up, in this case it might give us a free 6 outer..

Yeah, was just pointing that out.

As a guy who checks a lot I like to c/r for value against aggressive opponents moderately often.

Unless you plan on betting the turn, you should probably just check-fold the flop. He calls the flop too often for bet, check-fold to be a good line.

erm............................................... ...................... flop is a very easy bet [edit: even if you are c/fing turn]. It's called a semibluff, folks.

turn is a reasonable spot to barrel, sure go for it. Just don't saturate your range with bluffs here, bet AK and c/f AJ.

no, you should bet the flop and barrel the turn if you think he's going to call the flop too often
