    Default Stars RB

I've read the threads and decided to try stars for a while. According to the calculators and Spoons post, it looks like 50K hands at $50NL/$100NL would be enough to hit SN by April. Is this close to accurate? What can I look at for rewards at those stakes for that many hands of 6m? Is SN achievable under these conditions and is it worth the move. I need a 6m player to give me some idea. I am making about 20% RB on Party right now under their system. Tables are soft but not great for the times I play.

Do you mean 50k/month or 50k total?

    It's definitely not 50k total.

I think @ 400nl it would be like 140k hands
@600nl it would be like 130k hands and probably around 125k hands for 1knl. Those are estimations on the vpp rate I've been getting fwiw.

50K hands month minimum, I used the calculator and it says that's 25K FPP's meaning 4 months to SN, no? I figured 6 tables @ 30 hours. I may be wrong in the amount of hands that gets on stars, but that's the numbers I used

I found that their rakeback calculator is off. I would recomend asking somebody who has decent hand samples at those limits what their vpp/hand is since the changes and calculate it that way.

Yea that's why I posted here in SH. Almost all my searches come up in theFR section and are posts by 24 tabling nits playing 100K hands a month.

jyms, look in the internet poker subforum on 2+2 for the answers. I think there is a site called something like fpppro.com maybe too that has an accurate calculator. i did the calcs a few months ago and its way too many hands for me at nl100/200 to make it better than FTP.
eeevees are not monies yet...they are like baby monies.

Yea, the things I have read so far seem to be $50NL and under and also for anyone not grinding significant hands should play FT. I don't have an account with RB at FT so I need to go through the hassle of getting another and make a transfer, which is no biggie, but if I can do better at Stars with the amount of hands I play, I may just go there.

    I will look more though.

I will never understand why Canadians don't play on Euro sites. Not just because the games are softer, but because RB+bonuses are wayyy better usually.

    Jyms, whats wrong with Boss/Ipoker/Ongame?
Nine to five is how to survive - I ain't trying to survive / I'm trying to live it to the limit and love it a lot //

Can offer RB deals on most sites, PM me.

I play on interpoker (no i don't work for them and they made some software changes just recently that has made the already just so-so software worse), but if i were to move my money around, i would definitely keep it on euro sites. I think Will Hill is now on Ipoker and i remember there were huge fish on there when they were part of Cryptologic. Generally speaking though, you just want to be a network with a lot of traffic and then be on the skin that has the best rakeback/bonuses deal. If you can breakeven, the money you can make per month, depending on stakes, playing 50-60k hands/month with rakeback and bonuses can be pretty ridiculous. Something comparable to supernova elite or whatever that is except you don't have to kill yourself playing 10 hours/day.

There's also always some random euro gamblers that show up at weird times and will literally throw their money at you, but this is usually at higher stakes - 3/6-5/10 and omaha seems to be growing in europe and those games are apparently juicy. Too bad I still suck, even if watching isildur epicness makes me think it's just pure gambling.
    Family Cruise IMO

Absolutely nothing, it's the times I play though. I play 80% or more of my hands late evening and early into the morning. So long as there are tables I don't mind. I also like not jumping through hoops to get my money back. I do have a ton of those sites with RB though. When I played Full time in the past I played a few of the iPoker skins. I would prefer to play any of those sites that I can 6 table and grind, but without sitting with the same 5 guys on every table though. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Microgaming and Pacific are the softest I have ever seen.

I have sworn never to play on Microgaming again because I hate it with a violent and overwhelming passion, but if you can cope with rampant shortstacking and ratholing, low traffic at certain times (but not bad for Canadians I don't think) and variance on steroids then go for it. Their rewards are amazing - I made more than $1.6K in bonuses and rakerace in a month at one site playing just 30K hands of 50/100NL.

Pacific's software tilts the hell out of me, but for epic fishiness it can't be beat. I swear you can take a 5NL game to 50NL there and come out on top.

Never had any withdrawal issues at either of them.

I don't think iPoker is any softer than Stars. If anything the standard is higher. Upside of course is that there are always games going.
