Line check: AQ vs percieved nit.

Default Line check: AQ vs percieved nit.

Villain is 15/11 over 250 hands and has an ATS of 18.

Preflop: I don't think he calls many worse aces to a 3-bet so thought I'd flat to keep dominated stuff in, since 3 betting looked shitty.

Flop: c/c seems good, the bigger this pot gets vs this guy, the more likely I'm no good so c/r seemed too thin for value and like it would over-rep my hand.

Turn: Again, raising this bet looks way strong and folds out likely almost everything I'm ahead of.

River: Now I don't think he's ever betting again for value wioth a worse Q being a nit, nor is he likely to continue betting with air or a missed fd. So I thought I'd town worse Qs or random 2nd best hands like jacks with a draw or whatever that he's picked up along the way.

    How does this line look?

    No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (5 handed) - Hold'em Manager Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    UTG ($48.20)
    MP ($50.20)
    Button ($50)
    Hero (SB) ($53.70)
    BB ($50)

Preflop: Hero is SB with A, Q
2 folds, Button bets $1.50, Hero calls $1.25, 1 fold

    Flop: ($3.50) Q, 5, 3 (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $2, Hero calls $2

    Turn: ($7.50) J (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $5.50, Hero calls $5.50

    River: ($18.50) 9 (2 players)
    Hero bets $11

Yeah I probably rep missed draws better by betting more.

If you want to donk a street, why don't you donk the turn when he actually has draws that might call, as opposed to giving him the option of checking back turn?

Good point. However, I feel like c/c turn is better because he'll likely bet a draw he's picked up a good amount of the time anyway, and he'll also bet total air/gutshots sometimes which he'll snap fold if I lead the turn.

He wont bet worse value hands on the river, where as he probably will on the turn that's why I liked leading there.

Actually, betting turn is maybe better than c/c because there are going to be a good amount of random Jx combos that certainly will check back. Idk, I think it's close and don't mind either leading or c/c tbh.

    your logic is Very Bad.
My bankroll is the amount of money I would spend or lose before I got a job. It is calculated by adding my net worth to whatever I can borrow.

You can actually get value from worse (FD, AK, Jx, etc.) by betting the turn but you're folding out his worse hands except KQ on the river.

What are you planning to do if he shoves over you on the river? Fold I hope. I hate the lead bet on the river. If he's been bluffing the whole way, he folds. Remember, he led from the button preflop, so his hand could be just about anything. He probably has air, which doesn't pay you off. You need to let him bluff again and snap it off. About the only hand that pays you off is KQ if you lead into him on the river.

Yah it helped a ton. It's like having your essay marked and in the comments box is simply "No!"
