    Default 2kNL: Bluffcatching

Villain is mangal65. He is a new reg. Super aggro, folds to only about 35% of 3bets. Gets it in super light pre and 4bets a ton. 3bets himself about 14-15% (skewed by about 10% of the sample being HU, the other 90 being 6m).

I know he is capable of bluffing in this spot due to this hand where I cooler him.

Now different opponent. Surferkel. Don't know much about him. He came to my HU table and this is like within the first 20-30 hands. He isn't the type that 3bets 30%, tho. That's about all I know. I semi-cooler stacked him a few hands prior early in session, where I flatted A9s pre, c/r AJ9, barr 9 and he shoves. He had AQ. I'm not sure how exactly this would affect this specific opponent, but maybe he will bluff more? I don't know

#1: I don't get his river shove. Maybe it was some weird value/merge type of bet?

#2: I like a bet on the turn if you don't plan to call him down.

#3: Call. If he's got QJss then lucky him.

Hand 1: I'd bet flop, but c/f turn as played.

Hand 2: Given what just happened I would call. He's barely repping anything and a shit ton of draws missed. I will fold here despite this vs a lot of people.

for the ppl wanting to c/f AK on turn:

    1. How do you play river, as played?
    2. Don't you think we have the best hand a ton? I mean, look at the previous hand where he bets the turn with KQ

ESS, don't you think he bets all bluffs on the flop on hand 2? thats why river is a fold i just don't think he ever has air.

hand 3 i'd just fold i wouldnt give him credit for bluffing enough yet

This is my problem with this logic. If I felt like I was going to get bluffed a lot when I checked twice here, I probably would have bet the flop with AK. In a spot like this your just setting yourself up to get owned here. I would expect some of the time when he was planning to bluff, he would bet the flop. 2nd, there are only so many rivers where you'd want to call and the EV of those calls are speculative.

so are you specifically giving him credit for having a 9 here, and betting it twice? (in the AK hand)

and for those advocating folding river in the KJ hand: What is the worst hand you call with that you get to the river this way with?

As I said I would call here given the game flow situation, but without it I would call with K3. Its too marginal to not call here when you are beating a plausible value hand.

Doesn't turn sizing in the KJ hand make you guys at all suspicious?

maybe i'm wrong (and i'm sure ppl react differently at higher stakes) but i feel like after ppl lose a buyin, if they're not tilting (auto-3-betting) then usually they're more passive and just stationny. So I think I like folding the KJ, though it's close.

results: Call in all spots, win in all spots.

    Hand 1 results are shown
Hand 2 he had KxQd (I figured I beat most 2 high card 1 diamond hands here and hero CAWLED)
Hand 3: I think the read I gave of me stacking him prior was big. He had 4h8h.
