    Default 2NL FR AK

    No reads:

Donk bets tend to be weaker type hands. Some poeple do it with top pair others do it with sets, yet a third do it with just air. I thought that if he had Kx he would call my raise, any flush draw calls me and most stright draws call as well, since poeple at this level will defend with JQs. Also, two pairs are in his range.

Turn is a huge blank. I actually thought about bet sizing, since I could have gone 80 or 60, in either case, my river shove would be under pot. When I encounter this my goal is to b/f all the way.

When the blankis 4 arrives and he shoves, im confused. I find that at this level poeple don't donk bet c/c shove river without a decent hand. This shove really wants me to let it go BUT! im getting like 1:3 to call. His range is KT, 44, KQ, KJ, some random bluffs (though is he really shoving KJ type hands). I can't not find a way to construct a range that this isn't an EZ call. It just every time I see this line it tends to be very nutty. A donk all in bets on river are nearly always nutz?

    meh.

2nl, easy call without reads. I would also bet more every street.

Well we are being offered 1.75 to have a chance of winning approx 4.09 or approx. 4.00 after rake. This means we need (1.75)/(4.00+1.75) x 100 or 30.43% equity against his range for our call to be profitable. Our villain's line makes little sense, as is often the case of 2nl players. Lets look at his value range.

    What beats us :4h4c, 4c5c, 4c6c, 4c7c, 3c4c, TT, KK, KT, T4, K4

That is a total of 25 combinations that beat us; therefore, for our call to be + ev we need

x/(25 + x) > .3 to be true where x is the number of hand combos we beat.

when we solve we find x needs to be > 10.71 or approx. 11

even if we say villain will make this line only with value hands and qj exactly we are still getting the right price.

I'm only a 2NL player, so my opinion isn't worth much here, but I think call.

On the turn I decided that this was bet/fold. So when he pushed on river i followed through on my weird redefinition of b/f. Yes, i know that's not how b/f works.

When i made the decision I didn't think it was so bad, but when wrote out everything out, I knew it was pretty dumb, but i put the work to write the post so. I might as well post it. Plus, this way when i post more hands no one will just assume its a call or a fold regardless how ldo it may appear.... (that last part I made up just now to justify this thread).

Oh, and to those who are still having problems with 2nl you can beat 2nl and be as dumb as me, so keep working on it.

sooo basically you weren't thinking about ranges at all in this hand, you were just clicking buttons.
