    Default Desk Chairs

hey guys I'm looking to get a new chair for grinding. I have this pretty meh staples chair which isn't really that great for sitting in 8 hours a day and am looking to step up to something better. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good brand or something I should consider? I'm looking for something real comfortable/ergonomic. Price wouldn't be a factor (to a certain degree).

I heard Herman Miller would be worth looking into, though pretty expensive. I'm not sure of any other brand to look at so if you have recommendations that would be great. If anyone here has a high end chair and can swear by it being worth the investment feel free to post your review in this thread. Thanks!

I just recently went through the whole process. I ended up with a steelcase. It was a lightly used model that was reupholstered. It ended up being $350 with shipping. Well worth it. No other chair I have ever had can touch it. Once you get it adjusted it will last well into the future.

I took a look at herman millers but I just read so many conflicting reviews, which I think has a lot to do with the fact that lots of tech places ordered office loads of them.

Check ebay for sure you can find lots of used chairs that you can't even tell.

Oh nice, I forgot about steelcase. One of my friends had a tour of the steelcase factory in toronto so I'll have to talk to him about that and see what sort of info he got out of it. Thanks for the advice man. Where was it you got your chair, ebay?

Herman Miller Embody is the Cadillac of long-term-seating seats. Best 1.3K you'll ever spend.

However, it is best if you go in a place that sells chairs and simply try a ton of them out on your own. What works for one might pretty much never works for the other.

I use mine for TV and grinding. I'm in more than any other piece of furniture and I have and I bought it at Ikea. My only advice, is make sure the back goes high enough to rest your head. Leaning back to watch TV or Movies without a head rest is a little straining.
