    Lighting sweet moneys on fire.

Default 5/10: blind battle float, deep

Villain is a good LAG reg with a high ATS from the SB. We have a pretty aggro dynamic but I haven't been caught too much out of line.

I usually don't let the SB steal my blind, but is this overkill/spew? I didn't think I could call because I felt like he wasn't bluffing.

    BTN: $605.75
    SB: $1,661.50
    Hero (BB): $2,164.50
    UTG: $985.00
    CO: $1,039.00

SB posts SB $5.00, Hero posts BB $10.00

    Pre Flop: ($15.00) Hero has J 9
fold, fold, fold, SB raises to $30.00, Hero calls $20.00

    Flop: ($60.00, 2 players) A A 8
SB bets $45.00, Hero calls $45.00

    Turn: ($150.00, 2 players) 9
SB bets $115.00, Hero calls $115.00

    River: ($380.00, 2 players) 3
SB bets $250.00, Hero raises to $1,974.50 and is all-in

Looks meh to me unless you have a great image, which doesn't seem to be the case. Do we really expect him to fold Ax? A8,a9,a3,88,99,33 also make up a decent amount of combos.

Would be great if he vbets wider or has some bluffs but like you said its unlikely.
Nine to five is how to survive - I ain't trying to survive / I'm trying to live it to the limit and love it a lot //

I think you should def fold flop you're going to have a tough time repping much on later streets especially given he's decent(?) and likely isn't just cbetting flop, then c/giving up the turn very often.

as played river is pretty sick because your shove gives him a bad price to bluff catch (but in turn you are risking $1220ish to win $630 - correct me if wrong on addin up the #s but thats a pretty bad price you lay yourself) you also rep a pretty damn narrow range and its bvb so people talk themselves into calling more generally speaking I would think..

you'd be perceived to 3bet AK/AQ (maybe AJ too depending on style/game flow) though I don't know exactly what Ax hands you would be 3betting here or not but you basically rep AT, A8, 88-99 (again 3bet proabbly at least some %) and A3.

If you have a very aggressive image and your opponent knows you are capable of turning 8x or 66 type hands into bluffs here I think this is suicide. If the positions however were altered a bit such that SB was UTG and you were CO or BU I think you can typically get away with more shit like this. In such positions you could probably expect villain to lay down a hand like A5s but here I wouldn't really count on villain folding trips period in this spot BVB. Of course if he can value bet really thin with like K9 or TT that may change things given that he'll have more combo's in his range that would be hard pressed to call.

Is he the type that's capable of making a big fold (ie: Ax) here?

Based on his sizing, I'd say he likely has a mediocre ace, and definitely not a boat. You rep a narrow range, but most ppl wouldn't expect a bluff here really. I like it.

flattin ur 4bets, makin u tilt
ehh i think call>fold>raise, hes likely 3barreling hands that turned straight draws and often finds a check with TT-A7 somewhere, and might find a hero call on river
