Homophobes are fucked up and often products of their fucked up homes. They need to be educated but often they are beyond that and will just be fucked up for life period. As for the book I have mixed feelings about it. Being the father of a gay son I in some ways find it offensive as it in no way pertains to my sons situation. Although there are times when this story plays out as told in the book. Studys have found that often times children who are abused will indeed be very confused about their sexuality later in life.
