    Default Next poker education step?

    Hello all,

I have just gotten back into online poker, on Pokerstars. I re-read all the articles and the newer ones regarding MTT tourney tactics, and basic "presence" strategies. My game is aggressively tight, I win the majority of the hands I DO play, except for the low to mid PP I view the flop on. I would like to learn more about odds etc, to give me a few more skills on the hands I do play. It's nice to be well into the black a month into the game again, and having made my first withdrawal last week.

Would someone be so kind as to post some links to a guide/article on this site, or elsewhere that would be a good starting point for improving odds calculation methods? Any other advice not listed here is much appreciated. Thanks alot, all.

    Matt

Thanks very much. A lot of good information there. I'm already pretty far into it. Awesome.

These are all absolute must reads for sure and I've read them all a time or two. Although I've just recently been turned onto what I think is really an amazing tool and it was designed for exactly what you are looking for. I don't know about you but I have struggled with "poker math", ie odds outs & equity. I am not one of the fortunate ones who was programed for intense math. I've read many articles threads etc on the subject and although I think I understood what these things do I have just been unable to actually "do it at the tables".

This new program "Ace Poker Drills" has helped me more in the last few days than all of the articles and threads combined and it's only been a few days. There is a 24 hour free trial and I suggest you figure out your schedule when you can put a few hours in to evaluating the program since the trial period is so short. I know immediately after I completed my trial I was hooked and got the full blown program ASAP!

Hope it helps you as much as it already has me. Not that I have mastered it at all. What I've done is I have made it mandatory to study as often as I play it. So I'll read from the recent poker book I have going and I'll also do numerous drills in APD. I feel like I'm stretching before a runa as it warms up my brain and draws the newly learned material to the foreground before I pull my chair up.

Ace Poker Drills-A poker software training suite.

Good luck and let me know if you try it and think it helps!

Don't thank me, thank the guy who wrote most of them!

Come on, a few more posts and you'll average 5 a year!
