Default Flopped MP 15BB deep, facing small check-raise

I'm learning how to play HUSNGs at the moment and I feel like I've learned a lot over the last month or so but I still seem to come unstuck in certain situations. This is probably one of them.

Villain in this game calls a fair bit OOP but generally seems fit or fold post flop. In terms of game flow, I have folded two out of the last three buttons.

Given his passive tendencies and his small raise size, should I give him credit for a hand and be prepared to let this one go? Or do I flat or 3-bet AI?

    Stacks:
    Hero (SB) (865)
    BB (2,135)

    Blinds: 25/50

    Pre-Flop: (75, 2 players) Hero is SB 5 7
Hero raises to 100, BB calls 50

    Flop: J 7 6 (200, 2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets 120, BB raises to 250, Hero ??

Shitty spot but given that he's passive I'd give up.
Playing big pots at small stakes.

I would probably give it up. He probably called with something like J 10 or Q J from the BB preflop.

If you have the read he is playing fit or fold then cbet and fold.

If you think your opponent is capable of making plays here and your not sure with what type of frequency then check behind.

He's got us beat very often here. Even if he has a hand like 98 he's almost even money against our hand.
Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

If you're not sure what you should be doing here you need to check this flop.

I'd probably fold as played, a little deeper i might get suspicious that this is a bluff, or if you had a bad image

+1 on N2, if you think he's c/r a balanced range here id check behind.

    My thoughts exactly.

If you haven't seen him minraise as a bluff before then give it up. I might consider jamming pre, though I think we might be a tiny bit deep for it.
