    Default OverPair OOP

This was my 4th hand in a row openening 3x so I would not have been supprised by a light 3bet by anyone thinking I was spazzing.

Villian is 26/15/AF:2 over ~100 hands.

I'm definitely firing at the turn, but how much?
And what do YOU do if Villain raises?

    Cake - $0.04 NL (9 max) - Holdem - 8 players
    Hand converted by PokerTracker 3

    SB: $6.39
    BB: $4.50
    Hero (UTG): $3.87
    UTG+1: $1.20
    MP: $4.52
    MP+1: $4.22
    CO: $2.43
    BTN: $2.46

SB posts SB $0.02, BB posts BB $0.04

    Pre Flop: ($0.06) Hero has Q Q

Hero raises to $0.12, fold, fold, MP+1 raises to $0.36, fold, fold, fold, fold, Hero calls $0.24

    Flop: ($0.78, 2 players) 9 7 3
    Hero bets $0.52, MP+1 calls $0.52

    Turn: ($1.82, 2 players) 5

You're about even or a very slim dog vs his range when he raises the turn imo, give or take. Be nice to know if he raises the turn with TT or JJ or just calls down as well as his 3bet % preflop. Obviously he may float with more than that and any decent bet size on the turn would setup an easy river shove.

If he raises the turn I prob fold because to be honest are you just going to call the raise? you will pretty much be all in if you bet 60% or more into turn and call the raise. I don't know i would listen to anyone else before me BUT i would fold this if he raises.

Both hands are very well defined. Think it through and this hand plays itself.

hint: This is a great spot for half pot bets...

i think he's range in MP1 3betting UTG is pretty strong.JJ+,AK , maybe AQ sometimes. he gives us good implied odds, we get 17:1 so we can flat any PP here.

i like c/c flop w/ all of my range since he is likely to fire all of his range when we check, when we bet i think most times he folds AK, AQ or raises them forcing us to fold and call/raises better.

as played, i go 1-1.20/fold, if i get called and dont improve river, i am most likely to c/f river.
All posts are just my own opinion about a hand or a general situation... not advices on how you should play...

Problem is, you're still opening UTG, and a lot of bad players don't respond to aggression with aggression, they just start calling a lot more. Your villain looks fairly aggressive, but 3bet stats would help here.

    Villain 3B = 11%...Pretty hight right?
I think I could have 4 bet here.

Anyway, the reason for my post was I think I overbet the turn.
My thought was, I was trying to protect agains straight and flush draws...

yeah I think 4bet/getting it in is fine against this guy. fwiw: overbet = bet larger than the pot. you just think you bet too big. maybe it's a bit bigger than it needs to be but it's not so bad. .90 would setup a fine river shove.

you look a lot like 77+, are you betting turn for value if you bet?
