    Default Switching sites... rakeback?

Currently been on stars, but thinking of switching sites if the rakeback is worth it.

Live in Canada if that matters.

Which referral sites to go through and which poker sites are recommended for games/rakeback?

Only ever played at Stars and FT

    thanks

I'd also be interested in this. I tried to start a site review thread to give up to date info but the thread failed.

I've been looking into this lately, as well. I haven't found a reliable rakeback offer that is for more than 33%. I found a couple of sites that had a 47% rakeback advertisement, but it's a temporary introductory offer.

I've read a couple forum threads comparing VIP points vs. rakeback. Pokerstars VPP system is highly praised as being a comparable to slightly better deal than a 33% rakeback at the highest volumes (Platinum or something?).

Have you checked the "Poker Rooms" tab here in FTR, there is a rakeback section. The signup codes to get the 33% rakeback are right here on Flop Turn River.

This kind of information is always changing. I spent a lot of time doing additional google searches to find reviews from no older than a month on each site I'm looking into. I recommend you try that, too. Imo, posts and reviews from 6 or more months ago are out-of-date info.

Rakeback is not all it's cracked up to be now. iPoker is full of bots and the tables are brutal for selection. Ongame now has Essence which lowers your share of rake if you are a winner and raises it if your a loser. I have a 40% deal on ONgame that nets me 30% if I am lucky. Most sites have so few tables if they have bigger rakeback.

Find a skin, or a deal and then check the site. Look at the tables and stakes you want to play after. Personally, I will move to a Party skin as soon as Bwin moves there. Rakeback be damned, the fish are there.

have you tried 888 Jyms , they grew last year and seem to have orientated themselves towards attracting depositing fish but the deals you get there are pretty crap .

good rakeback% deals are available on ipoker but no one is allowed to advertise rakeback on ipoker so finding them is a pain. coupled withthat the software is not nice , playing above 9 tables will have you timing out left right and centre .

some of the kickback deals can provide high rewards in the short term if you are happy to move from site to site.

one downside of 888/pacific (corrected) is that if you leave money on there and start playing elsewhere , after 6 months of no play they will take a % of your bankroll each month as a management fee without any emails or telling you that they are going to do it. You log back in one day and find that your funds are less than you thought should have been there or gone entirely. Theres a thread about it at 2+2.

william hill do the same , but they email you first and warn you that if you don't play they will start taking the "management" fee each month. But at least it gives you the option of playing a raked hand or withdrawing your roll.

That reminds me, I think I still have funds on pacific, and maybe even titan.

It's pretty easy. I just received my deal via email from a fine gentleman in Nigeria. I'll let you know once I get everything set up.
