    Default EPL Transfer Deadline Day

One of the best days of the season

Got Sky Sports on TV in the background, anyone else following?

Sinclair confirmed gone to City, seems like a really poor move for his career as a whole

Meh, his career earnings would disagree

Sure he'll enjoy the money but he's young and should be progressing and improving, rather than sitting on the bench and then moving on unhappy like Adam Johnson. Don't know why City didn't buy him off Swansea then loan him back to us for a season or two to let him develop

All about the BBC live blog: BBC Sport - Transfer deadline day

Not much news on Arsenal, Bendtner going to Juve on loan (possible permanent)

Berbatov to Fulham, 2 year deal, pretty huge for them

Any chance Dempsey and Fulham put aside their pride and reconcile? Dempsey + Berbatov combo could be interesting. Did they sell Dembele?

Dembele gone to Spurs yeah, who have also got Joao Moutinho for £22m or so apparently. Van der Vaart back to Hamburg cos of his wife.

Think Dempsey will go to Liverpool, they've got £4m from sale of Adam and they really need a scoring striker

I'd love to have a scoring striker at arsenal but don't think Dempsey would fit into the mix. Would probably have a bigger impact than Gervinho's dribble to the sideline and win a corner when trying to cross tactics.

Arsenal have been really quiet, especially after getting so much for RvP. In fact they've only been mentioned twice on the BBC blog - once re: a rumour about signing Ba (lol) and once for Park leaving on loan.

Swansea had an offer accepted Hernandez yesterday to go with Ki Sung-Yueng

There was an Arsenal Drogba rumor somewhere...seems insane

Heard that same rumour - apparently the Chinese club he's at is having problems with their shareholders so they may have to offload their highest earners.

Lloris is at Spurs for medical!

    Problems with Moutinho!

I'm torn on Sinclair. On the one hand, he was a key player for Swansea, and was developing nicely. On the other, he'll be mixing it with some world class players at City. If he's good enough, he'll force his way into the team. If not, well he'll fail, but earn well. He's better than SWP from what I've seen.

Can't believe Arsenal have let Bendtner and Vela go, and are sweating over Walcott. Three outstanding prospects. Bendtner still has a lot to learn, but when he was 18 at Birmingham he was class. Vela is even better. Just seems crazy to buy these kids with potential and then sell them before they hit their peak.

    omg

wwhy have spurs sold their best player for 10million.

AVB out by christmas - this guy is a clown honestly <-- not spurs fan just cant understand why they would sell him

    WTF

P.S Sinclair what a waste of money - hes average at the very best and will be out of his league at City

Mountinho 22million?? hes 15 mill at most - but if the lloris deal is as rumoured that is a superb piece of long term business

How were chelsea/man utd not in for van der vaart
  17. #17
You talking about Van der Vaart for best player? Not sure what price he went are. If you are, it's because his wife is a German TV presenter and he wants to go back to Germany to be with her.

Sinclair is def not average IMO, great speedy player. Performed very well last season and is still very young

Didnt know about RVdVs wife - but 10million is a steal when Byern have spent 30million on Javi martinez(?)

Sinclair has had one above average season - physicl ability certainly, but not convinced he is even any better than Johnson who they released to get him in who had at 2-3 seasons of pretty decent football.

I think he's much faster than Johnson, and they need a winger which Sinclair is. He's a great crosser too.

    Hehe, sarrrrrry

Chelsea v Athletico Madrid is on ITV1 for the Super Cup, so turned over from Sky Sports. Playing poker atm but like having something in the background. 2-0 ATL atm, hahaha.

For the transfer window, Liverpool and Villa are having a nightmare. Feeling comfortable about our (Swans) position, and Man City are strengthening. Spurs "success" in this window depends on Moutinho coming or not IMO, Lloris is a great signing though. QPR are living the dream, some amazing signings. Southampton getting Gaston is a huge coup as well.

Liverpool are looking fucked upfront. I mean seriously LOL to any team aiming for premier league / European success with clint dempsey as the focal point of their attack, but he's their only hope now. I think Brenden Rogers forgot who he was managing when he started chasing him.

Window open for 52 more minutes.

Talked to a big Liverpool fan and he thinks they'll play 4-3-3 with Borini, Sterling and Suarez up front. They've got no wingers (apart from Downing and Sterling), and basically are in an awful joke spot. Dempsey gone to Spurs!

I really don't see Liverpool doing well this searing. 8th it 9th wouldn't surprise me. In the last 2 yrs they've made the worst signings and sales of any club ever.

Arsenal are done I think, cleared out some dead wood earlier at least.

And lol chelsea, 4-1 is a hammering!

So, pretty much all deals are in. Possibly Joao Moutinho to go to Spurs still. My roundup:

Villa - fucked. Signed one striker to go with Darren Brent (lol) for £7m whose not really proven, and a couple of random low leaguers

Liverpool - hahaha. No idea how they didn't get Dempsey, so stupid. They've got 1 winger (Downing), 2 strikers (Suarez and Borini) of which one can't score and the other has 1 season at Roma with only a handful of goals. Guess Sterling can be a winger or a striker but how can you have a 18 year old with no experience as a first choice winger/striker? Crazy.

Norwich/Reading - not enough activity, I think they go down with Villa

QPR - great work, some amazing signings. And they got rid of the thug Joey Barton. Mbia looks excellent, Granero came in yesterday, Cesar too. Really depends on how well they can gel as a team.

Fulham - lost some key players but got Richardson, Berbatov (?!) and the experienced Dejagah. Should do well.

Spurs - where did Dempsey come from? Dembele & Lloris come in too but I think as a whole they about break even unless they get Moutinho.
Stoke - Adam (good midtable player), should be enough for them to stay up

West Ham - Carroll on loan (hahahah) and Benayoun, if Carroll can start scoring, and he should do well in their team, can definitely see them staying up

Swansea - Hernandez looks like a great signing, we didn't spend too much cash but got one of the bargains of the window with Michu already weeee

Man City - already the strongest squad in the league IMO, Maicon should survive for a season or two and will give good experience to the youngsters. Garcia for £16m is another good signing, and Nastasic looks like a great prospect for the future as well as good cover for now.

Chelsea - Essien to Real on loan, Oscar was their big signing and only played half of the Super Cup where they looked lazy and lost 4-1, ooooooops

Southampton - Gaston Ramirez must have got confused and signed the wrong contract. Great hustle by the Saints. Wonder if they've got any money left or if they'll go bust (yet again) after spending £12m on him and £7m on Rodriguez a few months ago.

Arsenal - breaking news, Arsene Wenger slept through the transfer window

Harry Kane apparently gone to Norwich on a loan for a year, good for them but not sure he's what they need exactly!

If Villa go down I'm throwing a party. Unless we go down too. Then I'm going on a kitten killing spree.
