Is the slow walk unheard of or something?

No, just wanted to show off Bautista, in case Americans forgot we have him on top of the rape and pillage of several other great players this month

The BlueJays have gone from 100:1 to win the world series to 8:1 as the odds on favourite in Vegas in just over a month

Maple Leafs are undefeated this season as well. All in all, a good year for Toronto sports fans.

Josh Johnson has the arm of a 40-year old, Dickey has the arm of 39-year old, Reyes has the brain of a 12-year old, Beurhle has the midsection of an American, Bonifacio has the OPS of a pitcher. Did I miss anyone?

I'm probably going to be creating a group for a season ticket package. Anyone interested?

Ya, 99% of the offense and 50% of the pitching we already had.

I was completely kidding and am totally looking forward to the Jays/Rays being the two best teams in the AL East, but I definitely didn't miss 50% of your starting pitching. Dickey>>>>>>>>anything you already had and Johnson+Beuhrle = Morrow+Romero (if not slightly better).

EDIT: I removed all my edits because they're all wrong. Johnson is clearly better than any of the other names (he's at worst, as good as any of the other names, and obviously has a much higher ceiling). A Morrow vs Buehrle argument is an interesting one. Overall, I think it's pretty clear that Johnson+Buerhle is clearly better than Morrow+Romero.

morrow and on a lesser note romero could still be our best pitchers. Romero had a horrible year, but he has the skills.

The only one who has a chance of being as good as Dickey is Johnson. Romero and Morrow have both had (seemingly) comparable seasons, but they both came in years where they had ~.250 BAbips and LOB% in the high 70s. These aren't even remotely sustainable numbers.

Morrow shows promising signs of being able to sustain good numbers thanks to his ++ ability to strike hitters out (something like just below 90 ERA- looks reasonable), but there really haven't been any signs that he's been able to get the results (again, except for in half a season last year while having a .252 BAbip), and even if he matches the results to the peripherals, I don't think they're going to be Dickey's 2012 numbers.

Rickey Romero's luck-adjusted ceiling is his 2010 season (which, don't get me wrong, is fuckin awesome for a #5 pitcher in the AL East), and he was god awful last year. In other words, he has a much worse ceiling and much worse floor than any of the other pitchers in this discussion.

I cry a little inside every time I think of Morrow being a good starter. Our FO was so retarded in how they handled him.

He's a starter! No, let's make him a closer! No, change that, he's a starter again! But wait, he could be a closer!

We set him back at least 3 years imo.
