    Default [10NL] AA...Blind vs blind

    Villain is 46/16/0 over 52 hands. FTCB 33%, 1/3.

Villain seemed to defend his blinds a lot. Had seen villain call flop with bottom pair and then bet turn and river with 2 pair on 4 card straight board.

    Hero (SB): $10.00
    BB: $10.45

    MP: $10.43

Hero posts SB $0.05, BB posts BB $0.10

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.15) Hero has A A

fold, fold, fold, fold, Hero raises to $0.30, BB calls $0.20

    Flop: ($0.60, 2 players) 6 5 4
Hero bets $0.40, BB calls $0.40

This is just my general belief, but I'm seeing a lot of AA hands being posted lately. I can see how AA would get into tough spots often because you're tempted to go farther with them than other hands, but in terms of improving your game I think focusing on more marginal spots/hands would be much more beneficial.

Think about spots where you can open up your game and still be profitable. Spots where you can steal wider, or defend looser in the blinds that are +EV. Spots where you can peel flops IP profitably that you might not be doing now. These are the types of spots that come up ALL THE TIME, and will make a difference to your winrate. AA is a rare hand to begin with and the times you get into trouble spots with it even more rare, so I don't think these spots are that make or break.

That could just be me though.

Yeah it does seem that way.

I just go over hands from a session and if I find them interesting or if I was unsure on what to do I just post them up. It just so happens that in last day or two I have had a few AA hands, that's all.

Yah it's all good. The point of my post is that sometimes there is more value improving in a 5-10bb spot that comes up ALL THE TIME, than a 100bb spot that doesn't come up that often.

Often people really focus on those 100bb spots because they are seemingly more impactful/higher variance spots, but some 5-10bb spots can be really key overall. Just something to think about.

I was thinking about that earlier on funnily enough, there was a couple of TPGK hands that didn't end up in massive pots but I don't want to post a hand that might come across as a really trivial hand.

Posting hands you think you played good/ok/awesome. Is all worth it. As there was probably stuff you don't know/realise so you could be missing out on value in some really regular spots.

Also you really need to start thinking about your range in spots rather than hands.
