Default Question (SB cold calling, opening and 3betting)

Curious, since I've done some work on my BB play recently, but my SB play probably still sucks balls, to see what everyone else uses as defaults.

Assuming typical regs for everyone else at the table, and no particular history (so before making any adjustments), what are people's approximate ranges for:

    1. Cold calling the SB v a BTN open

    2. 3betting the SB v a BTN open

    3. Cold calling the SB v an MP open

    4. Cold calling the SB in a multi-way pot

    5. Opening the SB

    1. suited broadway
    2. heavily dependent on opener and game flow, could be suited A, sc, broadway, pocket pair, and the usual suspects, not every time though, I'm 3betting around 11% here
    3. suited broadway, KQ, some pps
    4. small pps, sc's, suited aces, longshot hands
    5. heavily dependent on BB, if nit almost anything, if tough reg not very much

    Thanks for the reply.

    A couple of observations:

1 v 3, why call wider vs. an MP open than vs BTN ?

    4. I can see the small PPs because a set is easy to play OOP, but SCs/AXs not so much - are you relying on the fact that people play more straightforward in multiway pots and thinking you'll get to draw easier? IME speculative drawing hands don't really play well here, because the pot is unlikely to bloat so I don't think the implied odds are good enough.

Mostly because of the greater implied odds if I'm lucky enough to flop big.

edit: I'm looking for cheap opportunities to make the nuts when other people might be interested. When the pot is multi-way somebody probably got something. If I don't flop good then I'm just c/f'ing. So nut-mining kinda.

edit2: It's kinda like when people 3bet too small and you know they have a monster so you call with anything to see if you flop big. The other day this right reg 3bet like 2.5x and I flatted with 98, flopped two pair and stacked AA. That was funny.

3bet 8-10% polarised, cold call 8-10% - mainly broadways, decent aces and middle pps.

    3. Cold calling the SB v an MP open

Pretty damn tight. Maybe AQ, AJs, KQs, 77-TT and 3betting a bunch of other stuff like suited and offsuit broadways.

    4. Cold calling the SB in a multi-way pot

Implied odds hands assuming bb isn't squeeze happy i.e. sc's, suited gappers, 22-88. I'm squeezing a large amount of aces and big pps.

    5. Opening the SB
    35% minimum.
Will be interesting to compare notes here.

Without meaning to sound like I'm deliberately picking holes (since I seem to be doing that to you a lot lately :P), what size is the open? That is hugely important here. 2bb vs 2.5bb vs 3bb vs more is hugely important here.
gabe: Ive dropped almost 100k in the past 35 days.

bigspenda73: But how much did you win?

No worries man, that's what I'm here for! More interested in improving and making money than being precious about my ego...

Yeah, I see what you mean.

Let's say a 3bb open from MP, and a 2.5bb from the BTN.
