Default Turn action against LAGgy fish

Villain is 44/33, doesn't seem to be a 3bet monkey though, only 5.5% 3bet so far.

Has folded to 50% of flop cbets so far, but only 2 samples. Haven't seen him raise a cbet, overall postflop AF is 2.5

Flop, the c/c worries me as a lot of these fish like to slowplay an overpair. However, they also like to peel with overs so OTT with the diamond draw coming and him still having potentially 6 overcard outs I feel like throwing a little bet out there to charge him to see the river is best. Obviously b/f turn.

Does this seem OK, or are you just c/f turn after the flop action?

On this board we only have two streets of value now. I would check back turn and call all river bets, and bet if facing a check.

Yeah, if you get raised on the turn now you kinda have to fold.

I would check the turn, and maybe even check/call the river, depending what the river card is.

In my opinion, if the river is a 4 or a 5, I am totally bet/calling. A LAG fish would definitely call with ace high on a double paired board

OK, what are you hoping to beat when you call a river bet - I presume just pure bluffs from stuff a fish can't fold on the flop (AK,AQ maybe even AJ), and maybe an occasional 99/88?

In that case, you're still calling river bets on A or K rivers?

I mean i hav no clue what his c/c range would be here. Is he c/c overs? It's strange.

Yeah, it's strange. I expect some of the stuff that happens to us here in BC would be very noteworthy at your games. For example, I had a fish open UTG yesterday, checkraise TT on 359tt (multiway) then call a jam. Just a few minutes ago, someone coldcalled A6s OOP then c/c a flopped boat and checked it down.

Several times yesterday (I played a mammoth session) I saw people check back the river with the nut flush on an unpaired board.

A fish c/c the flop with bare overs wouldn't be remotely unusual.

if you check back turn and bet river I don't think he'll see AK/AQ/AJ as a bluff (not sure how he can call a bluff) looks a fairly reasonable call given you were last to act preflop and flop on a hard board to hit. definitely don't see him ever folding AK/AQ on that flop
