    Default [2NL] KK PF 3Bet

    Winning Poker Network - $0.02 NL - Holdem - 8 players
    Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

    BTN: $1.18
    SB: $0.71
    Hero (BB): $1.03
    UTG: $0.36
    UTG+1: $2.10
    MP: $1.04
    MP+1: $0.91
    CO: $1.17

SB posts SB $0.01, Hero posts BB $0.02

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.03) Hero has K K

fold, UTG+1 raises to $0.08, fold, MP+1 calls $0.08, fold, BTN calls $0.08, fold, Hero raises to $0.30, fold, fold, fold

    Hero wins $0.33

Was this legitimately a good three bet or did I miss a lot of value here? My thinking was that with so many limpers I wanted to isolate one or two of them since KK doesn't play as well multiway. Did I just 3bet to heavy or was this what I'm looking to do with my big hands preflop?

Nothing wrong with this given stakes. At 25nl and above, I think you have to start thinking about balancing your range, so maybe it would be too much, but at 2nl the vast majority of players are not paying the slightest bit of attention to anything other than their cards and maybe their stack. Those at 2nl who fold to this 3bet probably fold to a more standard 3bet too.

That's what I was thinking. And for the fish or two who was willing to call I was looking to take his stack post flop.

It just drives me nuts when I don't get max value out of my hands.

Max value isn't all the chips. Max value is all the chips villain is willing to pay with his hand, or better still his range. It's entirely possible that what you won here was indeed max value, because you're obviously never flatting, and he could fold to a min 3bet because he's raising light.

I think it's fine, might have made the 3bet bigger myself, ~0.44. Actually, why are you sitting shortstacked?
Currently grinding live cash games. Life is good.

I think it's a 50bb cap table, it seems this is OP's table of choice.

someone has seen the light re bet sizing at 2nl lol. Most of the FR tables running on WPN are shallow tables even though full stacked are available they never seem to get any action. sweated a US guy a couple of times and the standard of play on the 2nl tables is ridiculously bad. raise sizes can be outrageously large and still get called with air .downside was that there were only about 3 FR tables running

As Keith said: It was a 50bb table. In order to multi table on WPN @ FR NLHE I have to sit at one or two short stacked tables at all times. It drives me nuts, believe me. These guys just come in with like .44 cents and look for an opportunity to jam. They don't want to play poker, they want to flip coins.

The thing is that they'll jam with marginal holdings. I had another session after this last night and got three guy's stacks simply because I knew what they were holding and it was at best 25% equity in the hand.

Again: It's not my table of choice - it's the only choice available at times. I'm in the US. I personally hate these short stacked tables.

I'm going to have to move over to 6max when I get to 5NL as that's where all the volume is on my network and then I'll be back to deep stacked tables.

Man this poker room sucks. I really do feel for you Yanks. I was amused at first because I expected you all to be back on stars within months, can't believe it's still dragging on to be honest.

I wasn't playing poker when the whole Black Friday thing came down but it's kind of sad to look around the forum community online and see the remnants of how things used to be. Our FedGov really killed a good thing we had going.

At least we're starting to see state run poker rooms set up now but from what I'm hearing: We still won't be back on Stars any time soon.

I'm seriously considering moving to Europe in the next year or two if this doesn't improve.

Things would be better if it wasn't for the fact that a large majority of the US players have this ridiculous notion in their minds that "online poker is illegal in the US" now. Most of the people I talk to in person who I mention playing online poker to are like "I thought they banned that?".
