Being a new player I feel this is a good read for all new players. Thank You.

The pre-flop 3 betting is something I don't do (at least not as a bluff). Playing Zoom poker on pokerstars I rather 3 betting with really strong hands.

The free card play is something I do and didn't realize it when on a flush draw. I do have 1 question though with the free card play. I have AK or AQ and raise pre-flop with 1 of the blinds calling. I C-Bet almost any flop if the blinds check (even if I miss the flop.) When they call that's when my play is mixed. Being in position I check on the turn wanting to hit at least a pair. When I miss the the blind bets on the river and I fold. Other times I notice with the same hand I will bet the turn and the opponent will fold or if they call my bet and I miss the river I feel I lose too many chips. I know there are a lot of factors to consider but I like to know are there more threads/links I can read to learn how to play AK and AQ better?

Another edition of my weekly column covers some of the ideas you should be thinking about in a slightly less complicated scenario: How to Play AK When You Miss the Flop

I'll do one on double barreling specifically this week probably.

I'll have to give this a read. I play chess, too and of course tactics are a big part of the game there as well. I don't think enough people recognize that there is both strategy and tactics in the game of poker, too. Specifically the cash game.

As said, I'll give this a thorough read.
