You know what, i probably shoulda knew that he had the flush

and i did think about it

but i guess not for long enough.

But what about that guy calling myraise with his hand, that was not a good call was it?

I hate people too, but for different reasons other than poker.

Bet before the turn and alot. scare away the guys on flush draws or open ended straight draws.

The problem is that most of the chumps that play low limit online poker will call just about anything on a flush draw.
Some days even my lucky rocket ship underpants won't help.

Actually, I don't think the caller did anything wrong here. You only bet 90 on the flop, and implied odds justified that call (as he showed). Then you bet 400 after he already made his flush.

But that's not saying you necessarily played it wrong either. It seemed like with your two pair, you were willing to risk a flush draw getting a pretty cheap call to make sure you'd get some action. Then you could hope that spade didn't hit on the turn (or hope that no one had a flush draw), bet a lot more and hopefully get one more call (that again misses if they're on a draw), and make a good deal of money.

Since you seemed to be choosing the riskier route, you have to live with the consequences at times.

I just went on a swing like that myself. It definitely sucks.

Personally I think you should have given a preflop raise. He may not even have seen the flop. Then when you hit your two pair and you see there are two suited cards out there, I think you need to bet the flop hard to get rid of all the draws.

i could rephrase, or just say ditto: ditto!

put a decent preflop raise out there, even though you're in early position, and if you get a big reraise back, get out.
