Default TP turns into trips, but...

Opp seems to have been on a flush draw.

My strategy here was: go ahead and give him pot odds to call on the flop. Then, IF a blank to the flush appears, bet big and make sure he doesn't have odds to call to the river.

The other jack coming out made me rethink the plan. What do you think? Was there any more money to be had here?

    A few things:
    (1) You might want to consider folding QJo in early position
    (2) I would discourage to give anyone pot odds to bet. In the long-run, you will just lose money. However, if your willing to make someone pay to see another card you have to be confident your not already beat. In your situation, you have an ok hand but you would rather have AQ to be thinking about betting anything too big.
    (3) Overall, I think $100 is a so-so bet. I might have called or bet 3xBB. In a SnG game, the bet would depend on chipstacks, #opps left, etc

Hey Krapp nice to see you again.

See I think that point #3 justifies giving opp (assuming the flush draw) pot odds.

That is: if the turn HAD been a heart (possibly completing flush) it would have been a no-brainer to lay down, since I now have 3rd best hand. I like no-brainers.

Does that make sense? The small bet was an information bet -- a reraise would mean TPTK or better, and a call probably would be the draw.

    himself fucker.
I think you got all the value you were going to get out of the hand. If your read was right, which I'm confident it was, and the player just doesnt want to draw for a hand that might be dead going into the river, that's that. If he wants to protect his stack, it's going to be hard to extract any value off a decent hand.
